I like these stories. I am find that the author leaps around a lot. Maybe as a misdirection but mostly it is just confusing.

Historia
Media and politicians constantly warn about the dangers of firearms. They say too many people have guns. But Black Guns Matters founder Maj Toure says there should be more guns! “Everybody should be walking around and like, oh man, I left my gun in the house. Let me go back and get it,” says Toure. “Everybody?” I ask. “Everybody.” He says that would make America freer and safer, especially in black communities, which he says, have been disproportionately hurt by gun control laws. “All gun control is racist,” says Toure. “It was literally started to stop black people from ...

I was fascinated by Mr Toure’s point of view! As a white woman I don’t get to see the black perspective very often. And the few times I have it has sounded just as racist as I am accused of being. But not Mr.Toure. His common sense approach is exactly what I believe we need more of in this country. I love the work he is doing! And I thoroughly enjoyed looking at my world through the eyes of an articulate & intelligent man! Mr.Stossel is a fantastic interviewer as always!

Historia
Caroline Wilton has no time for romance. She’s too busy running her family’s bar to even think about dating. She’s also one of Starfall Point’s resident witches, responsible for keeping the local ghost population in check. But even the most magical of witches can use a shoulder to lean on, which is what happens when Ben Hoult, the handsome doctor she never quite got over, walks back into her life. Ben is a single dad now, and as he and Caroline reconnect, they discover that they both have a knack for helping and protecting the people near and dear to them.

I enjoyed this book. It is light & funny with quite a bit of sardonic wit. It is a continuing series so look for the first book where Riley comes to the island.

I like funny ghost stories & this is a really good one! I have heard Amanda Ronconi before but this was a first for Teddy Hamilton. Both did well reading but I wish Teddy Hamilton had sounded a little bit more intellectual instead of dumb jockish. I will definitely be looking for the next book in the story.

Historia
In a future so real and near it might be now, something happens when women go to sleep: They become shrouded in a cocoon-like gauze. If they are awakened, if the gauze wrapping their bodies is disturbed or violated, the women become feral and spectacularly violent; and while they sleep they go to another place.... The men of our world are abandoned, left to their increasingly primal devices. One woman, however, the mysterious Evie, is immune to the blessing or curse of the sleeping disease.

I really, really enjoyed this book. I did not know what to expect from the father/son collaboration. To me it was more thoughtful than other King books I have read. I have never read a Stephen King book I did not like this one with his son Owen King is no exception.
