So far I have listened to a few passages. I like the narrators because they speak in a way that allows me to feel on some level, the experiences they are reading about.

A Great Way to Discover These Classics

Hello,
I have come to appreciate works, I struggled to read. I am at the Jules Verne section. There are some repeats in the narrator's voice or other little flaws. But I feel the set is worth it because I have enjoyed these stories, particularly of Jules Verne. I have not gone through the whole series, Each narrator sounds different. It would be a personal preference as to the read quality of these book. Nothing is perfect. I have enjoyed being transported else where. I listen to these classics and read the optimism and hope for the future. Even when the stories are darker, they are still a great adventure to lose one's self in. The stories are interesting, they deal with the unknown, things that frighten and have the power to inspire. I wish people had more patience with this set. It is nice to be read to. And often easier to absorb and appreciate the story when reading is hard to focus on.
