**I received this audio book for free from Audiobook Boom and the narrator for a honest review.**

Harry Williams does an outstanding job at being clear and encouraging throughout the book. I can really see the appeal to listening to these types of audio books for self transformation. I believe the key at a successful audio book of this type however is to not be repetitive and have a great narrator. I didn't feel as though John Lawson repeated himself to much throughout the book and as I've already stated Williams did a fantastic job, so over all if there is something that you would like to try and get over and learn new ways to achieving that goal, why not to an hour our of your day and listen!

Have you ever experienced a power outage? For most of us the answer would be yes at some point in our lives, but how long did that outage last, a few hours? A few days if it was because of natural disaster, and how far did that outage affect? But what if you knew ahead of time when the world was going to go into total blackout? Would you go on vacation to see it and prepare ahead of time for the aftermath?

For Dylan Townsend, his new neighbors seem out of place for their small town in Texas on the edge of becoming a ghost town. With their wads of money being thrown around and their unusual use of current phrases, they make themselves at home. But are they really making themselves at home, or have they picked this small town as a barrier for themselves against what they are there to witness?

Tourists of the Apocalypse is a tale of the all to real threat that this world currently facing. The audio book starts out with the author telling us about a report that was published publicly at the same time the 9/11 Commission Report was published entitled, Critical National Infrastructures Report. The scary part about this, ITS TRUE! Like most of the world or at least those in the United States, we were so focused on understanding everything that happened around 9/11 and what we can do to never have this happen again, we completely failed to pay attention to anything else that could be just as dangerous! You can read more about it at www.empcommission.org.

C.F. Waller really does an amazing job to weave this information into the very beginning of this story, so that you are aware that the story he is about to tell you, however unlikely, could become out new reality very quickly. His writing style throughout the novel was very neat. When I say this I mean he gave description where it needed to be but didn't over dwell on every little thing. Everything he payed attention to enriched the story and didn't make it drag on into dead zones. This novel had no dead zones. From the very first introduction to Lucy, all the way to the very end with Dylan you are left with a fully enriched and evenly paced novel. You get a bit of everything in this novel. You get science, family, love, gunfights and death, history and choice. There are things here and there that you can pick apart but if you learn to let go of everything that is thrown at us about reality and let it bend the rules a bit, this novel is the most true look at an individual I've listened to in some time!

J. Scott Bennett does a fantastic job of switching between characters. He reads smoothly at the same speed throughout the book. At no point was I dulled to sleep, had trouble understanding what was being said or had a lack of not wanting to continue.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprise by this book. I was a bit disappointed in some of the ways things ended but by the end I cared deeply for the characters, was invested in their outcomes, and came away from the book happy that I was given the chance to listen to it. There is no profanity which is a surprise considering there were plenty of times it could have been appropriately used. There was violence and death but how can the world as we know it effective get shut off and both not happen instantly. And last but not least, I took away the realization that this may be the first time I have so clearly understood that the main character understands just how selfish and how wrong all of his choices have been and tries to do something about it. And I'm not talking about the last minute "throw yourself in front of the bus to save others" understanding of trying to make things right. I mean you understand and can almost feel the weight in the words of the true impact of what Dylan's decisions have caused. If you've made it this far in the review you are probably thinking that I have totally lost it reading how I am gushing about what I took away from this book. With the real threats we face everyday now, and understanding that we as a nation and as a species can do horrible things that will cause this world to end as we know it now, I live just as selfishly as Dylan has. I make my decisions based on what I want now, not on what that will cause in the future. I think we all do. We understand what we need to do for the future to survive, but we keep thinking to ourselves that no one person can make a huge impact. But then a novel like this goes to show you and makes you realize that for a family, it only takes one person to make an impact for generations, which in turn makes an impact on the world.

I highly recommend for those who love apocalypse, time travel, love is love, history, science-y novels. If you'd rather read it, that's awesome too, but I'd HIGHLY recommend listening to this one. I feel there are times when I just wouldn't have walked away with the same feelings from a book if I would have read it versus listening to it.

Have you ever listened too or read a novel where you thought it was going in one direction and went a completely different way? C.F. Waller is becoming one of my favorite authors quickly. Every time I listen or read another one of his novels I think I'm not going to enjoy it as much as his others and BAM, it ends up being better than the one I had already finished. The Calling Tree is an excellent novel about immortality. Wyatt Baker does an amazing job at expressing emotions and making each character unique.

At first not having read much on what this book was actually about and just seeing who the author was, I was thinking it was going to have some kind of vampire or other twist to it when I realized immortality was one of the main themes throughout the novel, but if that is what you are looking for then The Calling Tree is not the book for you! However, if you like novels about immortality, the true nature of humans, history and family, then The Calling Tree is a must add to your list. I read a lot of books addressing the whole immortality subject. Whether it be vampires, werewolves, making a name for themselves through art, writing or something else. There are tons on the subject, but I haven't read one until now where the subject isn't over blown, it just simply is a matter of living. This is how I would think an immortal would live their life.

You should really listen to this audio book! So far I have to admin my recommendations to now say you need to listen and read everything by C.F. Waller because I can't just pick one book from his collection that I like the most!

**I was given this audio book for free from Audiobook Boom and others for a honest review.**

Zachary has a dilemma. His girlfriend, Reese, has a special birthday coming up soon and he has absolutely no clue what to get for her. It doesn't help that Zach does not share or really understand Reese's biggest hobby - comic books, superheroes, and everything that goes with them. Zach raids Reese's DVD collection for inspiration, and what he finds there gives him an idea...possibly the best one he's ever had. Sure, Reese has fantasized about her favorite superheroes. All those muscles and rakish smiles are to die for. She didn't think Zach would ever really understand, though. But he proves her wrong in the best way possible.

Definitely rated R.

Sure I have read and listened to erotica or "smut" before but this is kind of a geeky version of blah. I don't normally say much on these but considering I did get this for a review I am going to be as honest as I can without being completely rude.

I really did like the idea that this book was set in England, had Avenger themes, and could give me a great idea for spicing things up, but as far as the actual story I think I'm a bit of the wrong person for this one. I mean don't get me wrong, if you want to listen to a soft-porn with a better than average story line then pick this one, but with the British accent that seemed a bit forced and fake at times, I just couldn't get into it. The blunt descriptions were okay and something I could get past since I am a lesbian and not really into "cock" or "dick" but the way they were said in the accent I just couldn't really enjoy the "smut" factor. It was more me trying not to laugh about how corny it was.

Now, I am totally not judging this because I am a lesbian because this is about a straight couple who bang each other, literally to the point of passing out. I am judging this one mainly on the narrator. She spoke clearly enough and I understand being set in England for the accent, but it just didn't seem like a natural accent to me. I'm giving it 3 stars because after everything I didn't like, it did keep me entertained for a short while and it gave me an idea to spice things up.

**I was given this audio book for free from Audiobook Boom and the author for a honest review.**

This was a really emotionally charged audio book. The mix of Monique Roy's words and Kevin E Green's narration really brought this story to life for me. I know reading this you would still understand the emotion but I feel like I connected more deeply with the characters through the audio book. Green does a fantastic job at making every character unique, either through accent or age, they are all different. You really get a feel for Italy, not only as someone returning, or visiting for the first time, but from those who have spent their whole lives there and see the progression of the city. Italy has always fascinated me with it's history and architecture, and Once upon a Time in Venice explores the city as well as the bond between family.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would highly recommend this interview! I really enjoy finding out more information on the actors I admire and enjoy for entertainment. These interviews not only give insight into how they feel but make someone of their "unknowable" status relatable. In a way some of these interviews I feel make you realize they aren't just really impressive actors but human beings as well. There are times I think fans can forget that!

What did you like best about this story?

Bryan Cranston's growth with the role of Breaking Bad. He really wanted to get into a character role that you don't normally see. That can be risky in a field where the general public can help push or kill your career.

Which scene was your favorite?

His honesty about wanting to narrate his own book because he couldn't imagine anyone else being able to read his own words!

Any additional comments?

I love that the interviewer doesn't hinder or cut the person they are interviewing off. So many times I think that a good interview should be that you ask a question and let the conversion continue until it trails off and then ask another question to get it back to the same tempo throughout. I very rarely come across interviews that have the ability to do this and these Audile Sessions achieve just that!

I have listened to the first audio book of this bundle before but after relistening to it and finishing the rest of the bundle I have a full understanding that you don't need just one thing to calm you down. I have listened to several audio book for Mindfulness Training and I have loved everyone of them and this one is no different. Yes, it is a bit longer than I would like for a guided meditation on the go, but this bundle can easily be broken into two. The woman they have narrating this book is fantastic. Her voice is clear and smooth and really helps put you to easy. She isn't a drone and you won't feel as though she is scolding you or judging you for your technique. In fact she states this to help put you at easy. These are meant to aid and assist in your normal routine of meditation. I have come to understand meditation in a new light through these audio books. I have always thought of meditation as a specific set of guidelines you have to follow. Like sit in a quiet room on the floor, on a mat or blanket. Or the one I have tried and failed at which is sit on the floor in an indian style position with "meditation" or "new age" music. These guided meditation audio books strips away the need to have anything other than a safe environment, yourself and of course something to listen to the audio book on. I highly recommend this bundle or any others in the guided meditation series. You can't go wrong with Mindfulness Training.

This audio book has been really helpful this week. I have been so behind on doing reviews! The narrator is very clear and smooth in her voice throughout the audio book. If you have never tried meditation, or want something more free form from what would be considered "classic" meditation then this guide and all those in this series will be a great addition to your library. With such a short 30 min meditation guide you can re-listen when ever and where ever you feel yourself getting stressed and starting to procrastinate. I really do find the Mindfulness Training collection the most useful audio book I have received for my daily activities thus far.

Have you ever wanted to know just how much work goes into making the audio book you're listening too? Are you an author that have been getting requests to turn your novel into an audio book or thinking about doing so to get more attention for your novel? Then look no further. Richard Rieman's The Author's Guide to Audiobook Creation walks you through a typical process from start to finish of what you need to do as an author and just what is in store for you once you have started. Rieman's way of describing everything not only gets you interested in following along the path of what is required but he delivers the information in such an upbeat manor that you can't help but think he is truly enjoying reading his book. Even if you are not a published author or ever really considered putting your writings out there, Rieman gives advice and experience to what ever level you are at in the field of writing. I didn't know that so much useful information could be packed into such a short audio book. Really worth your time to give a listen. Even if you have no interest in writing or becoming a writer but you LOVE AUDIOBOOKS, I feel you really need to fully understand the journey of your listening enjoyment. I, for one, appreciate my audio books on a whole different level than I did before. Thank you Mr. Rieman for making me realize the complicated steps to making an audio book!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Art of War to be better than the print version?

Truthfully I have never read the print version or an ebook version of this title so I wouldn't know.

What did you like best about this story?

Finally understanding why and how most Asian cultures are so proficient when it comes to war.

Which scene was your favorite?

The whole book was a favorite. There wasn't really any one part that I found that stood out from the rest. It was all good!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The Art of War didn't make me laugh or cry, but it made me think. I thought about how I could apply some of this strategy to my everyday life and made me think about what I have learned throughout history. It shed new light on all past events and wars a bit better for me.

Any additional comments?

Alex MacDonald really does an amazing job at narrating this title. He not only brings a clear voice but he doesn't drone on. He makes the narration sound interesting, as if he is my grandfather or father passing on needed knowledge that only they can tell me.
