I honestly thought that after that last book this series was done. I'm glad that isn't the case because I really like this character and her harem. I wasn't ready for this book to end but it left me with hope for more on the horizon.

Taylor deserved someone better than brook. this felt like "you have to change everything about your life so that I can stay happy and never have to grow or change myself and stay in my small town." this is the second book by this author that has this to type of thing happen but at least Sutton was still endearing where brook really isn't. normally I like what I've heard by this author but I just couldn't finish this one...

I really enjoyed this book. the story was great, I loved the narration and there's a lot to like about the characters and my complaints come from personal preferences and my own background....
What bugs me most is that Gemma's friends don't do much to actually help get her out of her anxiety in really any way. they just tease her about how she reacts and tallies how many times she blushes... like what? she's got serious anxiety issues and they don't try to take steps to help her communicate at all. I'm not saying she should be as outgoing as Sarah but she should be able to navigate a conversation. I understand anxiety really sucks and it's hard to work through but this was a little extreme and her friends didn't do anything to help her. lack of communication is my biggest storytelling struggle pet peeve and that is what this whole story is, so the pros really are quite good for me to actually enjoy going through that personal hell...
character growth is my weakness, I am a huge sucker for it and was very happy to get to see it happen. Gemma is great and really funny and even endearing despite the flaws in her communication. her growth is kind of reasonable for the time table and probably more than would be in the real world but still convincing. I loved how sex was used for storytelling and not just hours of erotica...

I'm so glad they didn't get together in the end, the way this was set up it wouldn't have felt good if they had. I am very sad that Nat was not the choice though, I preferred her character and she felt the most realistic of all of them. she was my choice from the moment she interacted with Gemma so I was bummed about how she was used.

this was a great sequel. I still found Sylvia unbearable until there was only about 2 hours left. Kier was what kept me going, much like the first book, I loved her instantly.

pretty good. the vampires are really interesting

I liked a lot of this but the main character, Sylvia, is really annoying. good story, enjoyable take on vampires and overall very compelling. I just don't like Sylvia. I'm hoping the second book changes my thoughts about her.

so far so good. Benjamin is great at world building and creating interesting characters. it remains to be seen if his lack of choosing to have the main character with one or more love interests happens in this series or not but I'm hopeful.

just a good heartwarming fun ride

fun fights that honestly feel realistic in how long they would last and amazingly sweet moments that leave you smiling. this was just what I needed when I was feeling down. the sexy scenes actually felt like they mattered to the overall story of the two and not just raunchy fun trying to show they couldn't keep their hands off each other like most books with those scenes. this was just great the whole time.

I love stories that have music and love involved so intricately. this is a good story once you get to the end and look back. martyr characters, especially ones who are the main character, irritate me to no end. by the time I got to only one hour left I almost stopped listening because I was so sick of Mia... but, because I saw that there was a whole hour left I decided to finish, and I'm glad I did. I can't say I liked Mia but the end but character growth is my weakness and that is the promise this book makes. the writing is good and I hope to listen or read more from this author in the future. I don't recommend listening if you're in an irritable mood, it only made mine worse until the end, but do give it a chance.

I got a physical copy on a whim (I've always liked Medusa and because of a since closed app had found an appreciation for her sisters) and then saw it was here. this was amazing. it never pretended to be something it wasn't and the three women didn't knowingly either. I wish, as ever, that they would've talked more openly with each other but that could be said for everyone. beautiful and tragic. seriously this is great for all the reasons, for every detail and it's very powerful message.
