This book gives a incredible history of how we came to our current state of fishing and eating fish. It shows why our fisheries are less valuable and more important than we think. And maybe tells the way out of this. I really loved it!

James clear has been writing about habits forever. And I’ve always found his writing inspiration and methods to change my habits.

The difference between reading his blog about habits in this book is that this book presents his theories on habit changing as a complete system. Now that I’ve blasted through the book I’m going to read it again chapter by chapter and treated as a class.

Doug Stanhope is an unusual man, a fantastic comedian and after reading this book I know he's a hell of a son.

The stories he relates let you know he has lived a very different life than if you have. Yes, there are points where it seems pointless. So does life. But it's terribly funny! And the ending, which starts on the first page, is amazing.

If you like the book, I would highly recommend his podcast as well. Not only is Doug an interesting character, his friends are.

Like Michael Lewis, TC takes a subject that would glaze the eyes of most doctors and turns it into a detective story. This gripped me from end to end.

And so well executed.
I love how well the mystery unwinds while Ben Winters fills in the blanks on how the End Times is affecting everyday life.
The spoken word narrator nails the voices.
This and Osama are probably the best books I've read this year.

Pure detective and the reveal will blow your mind at the end. I'm going to see what else this guy wrote as soon as I finish the review. Instant fan.

Early season X-Files kills Twilight!

This is an unstoppable Horror Thriller! If you loved the investigation of early season X-files get ready to ramp it up to 11 with unspeakably violent vampires. They don't want to kiss you, they want to eat you.

This is the first book in a five book series by David Wellington. Wellington tears away all the "beautiful" from the vampire mythos and keeps the savagery. It's honest and refreshing. All the vampires are terrible blood junkies and weren't much better in life.

I love this book the most of the five because Caxton, the lead, is so raw and new here. The relationship between her and the US Marshal define the book. He is just as unlikeable as a vampire.

One more thought... The narrorator for this audiobook is ACES!!! She has excitement in her voice and great nuance between the characters. Give it your best ear!
