Everything about this story fit perfectly in place. The villains are nasty and easy to dislike. The heroes/ heroines are complex and impossible not to love. There are a couple that are shaded grey too.
The story flows like a river. It goes where it must , sometimes twisting left or right and sometimes rushing too fast or slow.
My favorite read so far this year.

The characters are full and people I wanted to learn and care about. The subject matter intrigued me, but it was way too preachy.
Parts of it sounded like a pompous lecturing professor at an Ivy League university.

Before reading your book all I knew about you and one of the GREATEST PRESIDENTS of our time was that you were both lawyers.
The grace and humanity exemplified through two terms as The First Family, only proves that it’s what resides in the heart and soul of each individual that is the true measure of a person.
I miss the time when respect and honesty meant something in this country. Oh my... was it only a couple of years ago????

If only we could find the courage and humanity to put aside our differences and truly celebrate Christmas.
We are too busy thinking about gifts and sales and everything that has no meaning or significance.
These men living in hell on earth were able to lay down arms and see just another man wearing a different uniform. God bless their souls with everlasting peace.
