Historia
For thousands of years, the Chiss Ascendancy has been an island of calm, a center of power, and a beacon of integrity. It is led by the Nine Ruling Families, whose leadership stands as a bulwark of stability against the Chaos of the Unknown Regions. But that stability has been eroded by a cunning foe who winnows away trust and loyalty in equal measure. Bonds of fidelity have given way to lines of division among the families. Despite the efforts of the Expansionary Defense Fleet, the Ascendancy slips closer and closer to civil war.

Wow
Revisado: 04-14-22
Great story! My favorite part of the book was how the battles were explained. The images this book created in my mind took my breath away. The philosophical questions and judgments conveyed in the book are so real that I carry them in the back of my mind in my everyday life.

Historia
Thrawn’s latest triumph still rests newly on his shoulders. He has led the Chiss to victory and brought glory to the House of Mitth, but the true threat to the Ascendancy has not yet been extinguished. Their foes do not send threats or ultimatums, do not mass ships on the edge of the Chaos. Their weapons come cloaked in smiles and generosity: Gifts offered freely. Services granted unconditionally. Across the Ascendancy, seemingly inconsequential events could herald the doom of the Chiss.

Its an interesting science fiction story
Revisado: 05-12-21
Extremely graphic story. The human to robot connection seemed forced. This is a great story that is worth the read.

Good narrator, but the story was okay
Revisado: 04-30-21
The narrator was good if you dont mind accents. Couldn't tell if it was Brittish or Australian still very understandable and didn't take anything away from the story. The story, however, left much to be desired. The beginning was super depressing, there was multiple mentions of rape(not into that) and the end was super depressing.

Great voice actors
Revisado: 10-30-20
Voice acting was good. Story was kind of hard to follow because there were no clear transitions. sounded like it may have been a screenplay book. The chapter names give no explanation of what is going on in the story.

Historia
Greg Donahue’s The Minuteman, tells the story of one of Newark’s native sons; ex-prizefighter and longtime Zwillman enforcer Sidney Abramowitz, a.k.a. Nat Arno, who took over leadership of the Minutemen in 1934 and made it his personal business to put an end to what he saw as the Bund’s “anti-American” activities. For six years, Arno and his crew of vigilantes battled Newark’s Nazis at every turn. The Minuteman is a story of the ethics of violence in the face of fascism; a forgotten legacy that is as relevant now as it was nearly a hundred years ago.

This story is about troubles jewish people dealt with here in the united states not generally mentioned in history books. I always wondered about issues we had here but never found anything about it before. It's a bit short but an easy listen.
