This book is just the best. His narration of it brings it to life. The best narration I've heard so far. this book is authentic and humbling. You can't help but learn to appreciate life as a whole and love McConaughey after listening. I'll probably listen to this again in a few days..it's just that good.

Very good book that describes her life

In this book, Michelle Obama goes into details about her life and her family's, as well as her journey. She shines a light on how she started and how she and her family got to where they are currently. I like the fact that it's from her perspective and how her story does sound very genuine. Plus she read the whole thing which is always a plus for me. Very well worth the listening to. I blew through it in approximately only two days.

Simply phenomenal!

Well the topics and the details in which they are covered in this audiobook is simply phenomenal. I also enjoy how the author looks at the subjects from multiple lenses: economical, political, cultural, etc.. This is the second book I've listened to by the author and it was simply great! The first one, as may have been seen in previous reviews, was guns germs and steel.

I got a more positive perspective of Comey

Before this book, I always thought that Comey got too involved in the election process and may have helped influence the outcome. After listening to this book, I understand why he did what he did and I cannot help but feel that he did the right thing. I'm glad he wrote this book since it gave me a better perspective of the man and his personal story.

This books provides examples of how democracies have and can be diminished into societies ruled by authoritative rulers. It gives examples of how the US has fought against those in the past (from both Republican and Democratic candidates) and how it must fight even harder now to prevent the decline of our democracy. Democracy could diminish here folks. It wouldn't be sudden but it could very well happen, perhaps easier than I wanted to think possible.

Good to be thoughtful of... Also great narration

This book was well narrated, concise, and was about a topic that never really came to my mind. I always assume that the US could never be impacted by fascism. Like any other countries, I learned that it could be. It's worth a listen to know what fascism is and the situations and methods of how it crept up in society in history.

The author of this book is fantastic. The way the story flows and the research placed in finding the facts for the story is incredible. I can't believe a company could bully people like the one portrayed in this book. Well, I was wrong! It's worth a listen to and is one of the most coherent and mind-opening book I've listened to this year.
