The writing is so good. So often these mysteries are poorly written but Sherry Thomas is a wonderful writer!
Kama professional Artist, so I love to listen to books as I paint— this was a captivating read.

I really enjoyed this one – – it had its wonderful funny moments, but I think it was a little deeper and the plot, and the mystery part was more clearly defined and carried out.

She's a good writer but I really like the souther pasta series much better.
Revisado: 09-29-17
She's a good writer and I love the narrator. This book got a little raunchy with the bad language and the "sex toy party". If she keeps getting raunchier I will stop reading this particular series and hope there will be more of the southern pasta series. I thought for it to be a cozy mystery, it needs to be safely clean and lacking in foul language. She's an excellent writer though and the narrator is great!

Sounded fun but ended up being a heavy bummer
Revisado: 09-18-15
When I first read the preview I thought this would be a lot of fun. But what was supposed to be a fun and happy read, turned out to be stilted, shallow and had heavy issues like abuse and rape tossed in. The battered women and rape thing was completely unnecessary and unrelated to the story! The author made police out to be brutal and villainous! And then the end was wrapped up in the most flippant cheesy way I've ever seen a book end.
The narrator seems to only be able to do a Latino/Russian accent and used it for English and French persons.
It could have been such a fun read but it was a serious disappointment.
Sorry – – but I felt like I needed to write this to warn other people to not waste their time.
