Historia
On Death and Dying began as a theoretical book, an interdisciplinary study of our fear of death and our inevitable acceptance of it. It introduced the world to the now-famous five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. On Grief and Grieving applies these stages to the process of grieving and weaves together theory, inspiration, and practical advice, all based on Kübler-Ross' and Kessler's professional and personal experiences.

Clap your hands Too!!!
Revisado: 10-10-21
This was an interesting book to read. I could hardly put it down!!! The format in which the author wrote made it extremely interesting yet curious to me! While the sisters were different they had so much more in common! It was easy to get to know the sisters in this format. Two sisters same culture different cultural experiences and locations really made the book come alive for me. I liked
the movement and tone of the book! Acevado has become one of my favorite authors.
I would recommend this book to readers as well as book clubs!

Historia
Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross created her classic seminal work, On Death and Dying, to offer us a new perspective on the terminally ill. It is not a psychoanalytic study, nor is it a "how-to" manual for managing death. Rather, it refocuses on the patient as a human being and a teacher, in the hope that we will learn from him or her about the final stages of life.

A must Read
Revisado: 06-12-21
I read this book while dealing with several losses. Was in a state of grief that was unmanageable. Reading this book helped me to face my grief head on before reading On grief and greiving!
The interviews with terminal patients and their families was so enlightening and I left with a level of understanding of dialogs that I might have with family members on death and dying.

Historia
If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. On May 17, 2014, Admiral William H. McRaven addressed the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin on their Commencement day. Taking inspiration from the university's slogan, "What starts here changes the world," he shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life; and he explained how anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves - and the world - for the better.
