Historia
Every year the people of the Protectorate leave a baby as an offering to the witch who lives in the forest. They hope this sacrifice will keep her from terrorizing their town. But the witch in the forest, Xan, is kind and gentle. She shares her home with a wise Swamp Monster named Glerk and a Perfectly Tiny Dragon, Fyrian. Xan rescues the abandoned children and delivers them to welcoming families on the other side of the forest, nourishing the babies with starlight on the journey.

Beautiful and Exciting
Revisado: 02-06-19
Charming and captivating The Girl Who Drank the Moon has you hanging on every word. The first chapter starts out a little slowly, as a mother tells her child a story. It’s an interesting writing style, since you only hear what the mother is saying and not what the child is asking. However chapter two starts in a more traditional way and everything you heard in the first chapter begins to be explained beautifully as the tale unfolds. From there it picks up in pace, with mystery, deceit, sorrow and love. There is a town which is enslaved by sorrow. There’s a good witch, a bad witch, a friendly swamp monster, a baby dragon who has never grown up, and a magical baby girl who is growing up too quickly. Every character has immense depth and color, and as you listen you fall in love with every one of them. The best audience for the book would be 10 on up, I’m 19 and I loved it.

Bought this book to go along with the American Girl Doll book series Rebecca. It tied in wonderfully. My 10 & 7 year old really enjoyed it as did I!

Historia
Peregrine strives to live up to the ideal of her people, the Latki - and to impress her parents: affectionate Lord Tove, who despises only the Bamarre, and stern Lady Klausine. Perry runs the fastest, speaks her mind, and doesn't give much thought to the castle's Bamarre servants, whom she knows to be weak and cowardly. But just as she's about to join her father on the front lines, she is visited by the fairy Halina, who reveals that Perry isn't Latki-born. She is Bamarre.

Magical!
Revisado: 08-14-17
I absolutely loved The Two Princesses of Bamarre, and was a little worried this one wouldn't live up to my expectations. However I was pleased to find that this book is just as good as the first. I was sort of expecting that it was a sequel to the first but it ended up being a prequel. It was cool though because you get to see the origins of Bamarre. (Although I missed not hearing more about the sisters from book 1) In conclusion loved both and recommend to girls ages 10 and up. (I'm 18)

Historia
This is Austen's first published novel, from 1851, which she wrote under the pseudonym "A Lady". The story is about Elinor and Marianne, two daughters of Mr. Dashwood by his second wife. They have a younger sister, Margaret, and an older half-brother named John. When their father dies, the family estate passes to John, and the Dashwood women are left in reduced circumstances. The novel follows the Dashwood sisters to their new home, a cottage on a distant relative's property, where they experience both romance and heartbreak.

Surprisingly Enjoyable
Revisado: 05-13-17
I never thought I'd find myself listening or reading a Jane Austen book, much less reviewing one. On the insistence of my dance teacher and my grandma however I found myself purchasing it. I always thought that Jane Austen would be very boring. I was wrong. This book was very lovely, and interesting. Unfortunately the narration is a little faulty and repeats itself in some places. Also a large section of the book is missing in chapter 43. I had to borrow my grandma's copy of the book and read it, especially since the part of the book missing is rather key to the plot. I recommend the book but perhaps you might want to find a different narration.

I am 18 and I found this story very sweet and interesting. The narrator was amazing. There were quite a few swear words in it, though.

This is a fantastic sequel series to Leven Thumps! Geth was my favorite character in Leven Thumps and I was ecstatic when I found out he had his own series. This first book was extremely funny and very well written. I'm looking forward to listening to the next one.

Magical
Revisado: 12-03-16
This book was purely magical! It's characters were colorful, and lovable. Full of sweetness this book will touch the hearts of all who read, or listen, to it.
As a side note the first chapter is rather slow, but it picks up in the second chapter and is consistently, and fantastically, well written from that point on.

Terrible Narration
Revisado: 08-02-16
When I look for an audio book the hardest thing is finding a good narrator. Obviously I want to listen to this specific book, and so I generally don't research it much. I do however listen to all the audio samples, and get extremely frustrated when I can't find the one I think is the best. I can normally figure out which ones are the worst. This one I thought was one of the better ones. However 20 minutes into the book I became very confused. Who were all these different characters? They all sound exactly the same! So not wanting to quit the book quite yet, I looked up a character list and promptly spoiled the book for myself by learning who the Scarlet Pimpernel was. Don't make the same mistake I made. Get the narration by Michael Page. He was my second try, and was incredible! All the voices were distinct, and well accented. Plus his voice was pleasant to listen to during descriptions.
Overall: Don't get this version of the book. Get the one by Michael Page.

Best Narration

This is by far the best narration, just trust me. Michael Page does all of the voices wonderfully, which I think is one of the most important things. The book was excellently written, and had a very exciting plot.
