Margaret Atwood delivers once again in the rise and fall of Gilead. What a great read of how it came to be and the pair that brought the nation down. For fans of The Handmaid's Tale, the satisfaction level is at an all time high with a perfect ending.

I really enjoy Sarah Bailey's writing. However, this one requires careful attention due to the flashbacks, side flashes, and alternate pathways. The performance was great and easy to listen to. The story kept me intrigued until I almost lost the plot. It's worth a listen if you can devote time to Parts 3 and 4.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Narration by the marvelous Joanne Froggert was a joy. Storyline kept me captivated. Some people just can't get past old hurts and hold onto grudges that cause them to make serious psychological disturbing decisions. At great cost to the innocent.

Don't like the way it ended

Deliciously wicked

Everything you wish you could do and say to the woman who stole your husband. Deliciously wicked with a perfect ending. Ms. Hardingham was a great narrator. Her tone and inflections made the story easy to become engrossed in. Definitely adding this author to my must read list.

So many variables in this book. Definitely a great ending, although it clearly outlined the toll medication can take on a person's life. Narration was pleasing and perfect for this book.

KL Slater does it again! I wasn't sure about this format but it quickly became evident the different narrations were needed. What great twists and turns, surprises inside along with one that makes you second guess your initial impression of a character. Looking forward to her next novel!

a great change!

This was a great and subtle change from the male dominant villain character roles for KL Slater. Lots of moving parts. Starts off mostly dramaesque and turns into the real storyline near the end. Thoroughly enjoyed! Lovely to hear Ms. Price-Lewis again.

I am obsessed with Kevin O'Brien's books and this captures me right from the beginning. I was sad to see it end! Happy to have it end on a good note and for the villain(s) to get their karma. Life lesson: If someone can't make time for you, don't make time for them. Be careful who you trust.

Interesting plot

Interesting plot - parallel universe and timelines. The author has an overuse of the word "queer", which got to be not only repetitive but annoying. This aside, the book was interesting to listen to. Sad at times, but overall a good listen. Narration was pleasant and easy on the ears.
