I LOVE all of lily manes characters and the world building and easy to follow storyline. the characters are very likable and have complex emotions that captivate my attention and really make me feel what they are feeling as if it were my own joy or pain. I really hope there are more black oasis stories. or even just more sweet monster love stories. these books have hands down become my favorite based on writing style, content, and length. will be re reading again and again.

I am just blown away by the intricate story and the way it pulled the entire range of honest emotions from me.
Some of my emotions were inspired by my own personal religious trauma. My crushing desire to see the characters develop in a satisfactory way. The fact that they actually accomplished that, and much, much more.

Do mind the triggers, because this story contains a very well thought out and emotional D/s relationship.

I see a crazy amount of myself in Remiel, and I love how satisfying the relationship is between he and Phelan. I will be reading this again. it has been placed in the favorites category.

very fulfilling

I can't help it! I'm in love with Miles and Cade. Both of their backstories are relatable and give their characters depth and charm. I went thru this story and found emotional attachments to all of the characters and went along looking for the different elements that balance out a good story and was certainly not disappointed.
I was able to feel the depth of personal trauma pouring off of both of them and understood the implied reasoning behind the actions that they both took.
As for the details...the imagery was rich and well thought out. Character descriptions were on point and personal. I have a very colorful imagination and can do alot with a little but the detail in this story did not leave me wanting.
As for the Voice Actor. 5☆
He brought the characters to life as individuals and gave depth and feeling to each person and expression. The different voices for each character was spot on in my opinion and was a joy to listen too. thank you for making this production one of the BEST iv ever listened too!

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOKS IN THE SERIES ON AUDIBLE!!!💗

excellent series

loved it. this is a series that I'll end up listening to again the sweet friendship is the kind one can only hope for in a lifetime. and it's even really sweet that they manage to end up together even tho that's never the focus. loyalty. love and kindness end up winning the day as they ramble through 3 distinct mysteries to solve

I also love that Blackthorne is not perfect. she's not a fair maiden, beautiful and perfect and Brite. she's a highly intelligent, curmudgeonly middle aged kitchen witch with pain sorrow and experience under her belt. and Grimm is a giant man who's seen war and death and more death. he's useful and kind and just needs a purpose. they both end up rediscovering what they r personally good at and good for each other.

Paganism wins the day

I wish the great Crusades had ended so beautifully. with the church and their nasty single-minded ways being put down for good and the ritiousness of Natural Paganism flourishing. the world would be so much more loving and accepting and clean

religious christians are haters. full stop

This book is about Witches and their struggles and triumph against another monotheistic organized religion. seriously...its not the authors fault that christianity fits the bill.
In truth, the trials, torture, lies, ruthless hunting, bizarre religious practices and overall head scratching, bigoted, hypocritical, hate mongering over things that they don't understand and refuse to gain knowledge about....is exactly what organized religious christianity is, to a lesser degree. and what it has tried to paint as holy, to a larger degree. these things actually happened in real life in the past and the are still happening now for all to see if a person just bothers to look.

If this fictional book offends you its probably because it's like looking in a mirror and having to face your sins in the name of your sky god against innocent people that you don't understand and that just wish to be left alone.
Don't justify your hate by blaming this book on propaganda.
CHANGE AND BE BETTER.

This book is excellent as far as writing style, story, plot and pace are concerned. I was drawn in to the characters and cared about their journey and plight.
Im about to get the next book and see how the story develops.
Bravo to the Author for the simple realism captured in the life of these Witches and the creatures that they associate with. for conveying the pain, suffering and triumph for each of them individually and as a group as they learn to work together to overcome the tyranny set against them.

just wow!

not sure What the detractors are talking about. I found the story and character development to be superb. very well written. every detail adding to the nuance very precisely. I also found the few love scenes very tasteful and also shy. the details of which asked u to use your imagination while giving just enough to be a genuine turn-on. the less is more theory on full display here, the author draws you in and on and on. I found myself just sitting in the car after a long day listening because I couldn't get enough.
about the narrator...
he did a fine job reading through all three books. he really only had recognizable voices for 4 if the main characters but that was enough. the inflection and emotion was communicated very well I thought. I did have to turn the bass all the way down on my stereo tho to hear him distinctly enough but once that was solved it was a great adventure. thank you.

fantastic story

loved the story. but the voice actor was so bad. she ruined it for me. no inflection in her voice. no different voices for different characters, the emphasis on her words to indicate emotion or a new paragraph were in the absolutely wrong places. on top of all that for the first 10 minutes it sounded like she had swallowed the microphone.

its just getting good then just stops. no battle no victory or loss. just leaves u there wondering the fate of the eleves. and whether or not ORGRIM ever gets his stuff together and becomes Duke.
