Where do I even begin? Of all post-apocalyptic series, I must say this is the only one I have listened to 3 times. M.S. Fuchs nailed every one of the books in this 14 book ZA heartstopper! Each character stood out, but I must say Gunny Fick is my spirit animal! I am looking forward to reading the 3rd installment of the Arisen Raiders series, too. Fuchs, thank you for making my 3 hour commutes to the SF Bay area to work much better!

Ever since Master Gunnery Sergeant Fick came blitzing out of nowhere in Maximum Violence (Arisen, book 4), he has emerged as the closest thing to a consensus fan favorite character for the series. He is best known and most beloved for his ribald, profane, merciless, and generally hilarious insults, quips, and bon mots, which are so characteristic that listeners have affectionately dubbed them: Fickisms.
