Historia
Psychiatrist Dr. Gwen Moore is an expert on killers. She’s spent a decade treating California’s most depraved predators and unlocking their motives - predators much like the notorious Bloody Heart serial killer, whose latest teenage victim escaped and then identified local high school teacher Randall Thompson as his captor. The case against Thompson as the Bloody Heart Killer is damning - and closed, as far as Gwen and the media are concerned. If not for one new development.

Surprisingly good!

Really liked the story. I figured out a few things on my own but was still shocked by the reveal in the end. The story wasn't unnecessarily drawn out and wrapped up nicely.

Historia
Every object has a ghost. There is a small yellow backpack - half unzipped, mouth yawning to the pavement, contents strewn around it (a banana, an exercise book, a pair of scissors) - abandoned on a suburban footpath. Ten feet away, the rubber stamp of tyres, resisting clamped brakes, mount the curb and cut across the path. The tracks come to an end at a crippled stop sign. The street, a tree-lined suburban road dappled in late-afternoon sunlight, is calm. But anyone walking past can feel the ghosts: the prickle on the back of their necks that tells them something happened here.

Figured out the twist but the ending still shocked me. Wasn't sure where it was going in the beginning. Very chilling.

There, overcome with memories of the man she adored and consumed by a history she never knew, she is pulled into another time. I knew the rules. Never reveal my true identity. Play the game, give the illusion. Don't get close to the clients. The dark and glamorous lifestyle of the rich and shameless open my eyes to a lavish world of sin and wealth, and a man I can't have. A man I desperately want - James Riviera. We're treading a fine line as we live the ultimate double life until we make a startling discovery that tests both our loyalties. I only had to follow the rules, but rules are meant to be broken.

Historia
My life was perfect - until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me. My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed. Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite. I can’t stand him. He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all.

Overrated.
Revisado: 09-06-22
So predictable. I felt like this love was way too serious and deep for being so close after her husband's murder. Made me feel uncomfortable. The fact that he was British felt forced. That doesn't automatically make a dude attractive. Stop doing it.

They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They're right. No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking. He is my forbidden, shiny apple. The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth. He is also my sister's ex-boyfriend. One thing you should know before you judge me: I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first. Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance. Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. Hopefully, he isn't too late.

Boo. Skip it.
Revisado: 07-12-22
Didn't like or connect with any of the characters. The whole "this is my sister's ex" while she's pretty much married and pregnant by someone else was annoying as all hell. Grow up. Trust fund babies stories are ridiculous especially when paying $600k to meet someone. & the cystic fibrosis storyline has been done to death.

Historia
Psychopath. Borderline. Crazy. Seventeen-year-old Maryanne Mayweather wears each term like a badge of pride. Expelled from her 12th boarding school, she lands on the doorstep of her flighty aunt Elaine and Elaine’s husband James, one more screw-up away from being made a ward of the state. Once a successful author, the last thing James Thorne wants is to care for his wife's bratty teenage niece, especially with his marriage falling apart. When Maryanne crafts an elaborate plan to defame and destroy him, they both discover that words are more powerful than either of them could imagine.

It definitely wasn't as taboo as I had read it was going to be. It was mostly just annoying, boring, and completely pointless. Characters were dull and didn't evolve whatsoever. Skip it.

Historia
Fifteen years ago, I fell for Jack O’Donnell. I was just a girl, but I knew my brother’s best friend was the only man I’d ever love. On my 18th birthday, when I asked him to kiss me, I never imagined it would change my life so completely. I gave Jack everything that night. In order to move on, we had to go our separate ways and pretend like nothing happened...as though it wasn’t the greatest moment of my life. But even that wasn’t as heartbreaking as the secret we were forced to keep.

Severely underwhelming
Revisado: 06-15-22
I didn't feel any of the love these two characters are supposed to have. The reason why a wealthy adult woman couldn't keep her child were ridiculous since she had an amazing support group of siblings. The angsty 12 year from the distance love was tiring to read. The wrap up was equally awful. Very disappointing.

Different.
Revisado: 05-23-22
I liked the yatch setting. Never read a book with that going on so that was pretty cool even though her endless "big tip" commentary got very annoying. There was some good chemistry between the two protagonists but not great. The story progressed rapidly so that was nice.
