Good School age mystery
Revisado: 08-12-20
this was an enjoyable listen that didn't require a large amount of concentration to follow and had a good story with twist at the end. I enjoyed the different perspective it was told from and as an adult didn't find it too childish even though it was set in a school.

Historia
Sir John Penlyon is planning to spend Christmas at his estate with his niece and his friend Danby, the closest thing he has to family since disowning his daughter years ago. (She eloped with the parson, who was, of course, penniless.) Danby suggests that at Christmastime the estate needs the presence of small children, and offers to find some - the “hirelings” - despite Sir John’s skepticism. Three children duly arrive, and the youngest, precocious four year-old Moppet, quickly endears herself to Sir John.

satisfactory conclusion to the story
Revisado: 08-29-18
this book wrapped up the tale started in the first book nicely. I wish more time had been spent explaining the star stones and the event that happened around them. I also would have enjoyed having the empire pirate character, whose last name started with an 'e', flushed out rather just using him to randomly push the story along or annoy the main character.

conclusion of monster hunter memoirs
Revisado: 08-15-18
I really enjoyed this trilogy that spun off of the Monster Hunter series. If you haven't read those books I recommend starting with that series because this one heavily references characters from the Monster Hunter books.
For me Oliver Wyman is MHI. I'm glad they kept the same narrator for all the books. His character voices are the same for the reappearing chataters throughout all of this trilogy and the Monster Hunter series.
I'm definitely looking forward to more books from these authors.

Interesting twist to necromancy
Revisado: 07-31-18
For the first few chapters I was very puzzled at how the two character stories were going to intertwine. The author did a good job of weaving the story together and explaining the abilities the characters. The narrator was enjoyable to listen to and kept recognizable voices for each character. I would recommend this book.
