Inspiring!
Revisado: 01-11-20
This book opens eyes to practical and meaningful love. While the author is passionate, his reading voice lacks the cadence of a professional.

Loved Rosenberg in the past but...
Revisado: 07-29-19
While the plot was intriguing, and I found myself once again eager to learn more about current political possibilities from Rosenberg’s savvy insights, I am left disappointed with the writing style of this first installment of a new trilogy. It’s been years since I read the Twelfth Imam series, but I don’t remember so many extensive pages of pure narration. For entire chapters I felt like there was no dialogue in Kremlin. Important plot points that a skilled author would reveal through the words and actions of the characters were bluntly spoon fed to the reader through clunky narration. Perhaps he will hit his stride in the second book in the series, now that he has laid the character ‘s and the plot’s foundation, but I won’t be able to finish the series if I don’t sense an abrupt improvement right away.
So while I appreciate the ideas behind Rosenberg’s newest political “what if” novel, I’m not sure if I can recommend it to a novel lover looking for careful craftsmanship in storytelling.

Great Concept, Poor Execution
Revisado: 05-19-19
The concept was fun as I’m a big R&J fan- but the writing seemed forced and awkward at times. The love story was too fast without big moments to capture the reader’s heart and make me care about whether or not the major characters make it. And, for my taste, way too much plot line is filled in with long flashback narratives.

Historia
Casey Cox’s DNA is all over the crime scene. There’s no use talking to police; they’ve failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she’s arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn’t matter anymore. But what is the truth? That’s the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren’t adding up.

No male voices
Revisado: 03-25-18
I was disappointed that the reader didn’t try to differentiate the voice of the male character at all. Entire chapters are told from his perspective, but he sounds exactly like the female lead- nothing remotely masculine in the delivery. As he is supposed to be a manly man, it was hard to listen to.

A "Classic" for a reason!
Revisado: 03-10-17
Sissy Spacek did an amazing job bringing this classic to life again for me. The truth that this book represents speaks loud to the culture that we live in right now. As cliche as it is, it made me laugh out loud and cry like a baby. Thanks!

incredible heart wrenching telling of the events in the author's life. Great listen for any parent, bonus if wrestling parent.
only distraction was the obvious dub overs during the story, can tell by the slowing down of the speech and change in voice.

Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home. Intriguing
Revisado: 11-06-16
Explicit details and intertwining plots make this book an unforgettable read. It serves to take the reader into the hearts and lives of those who lived and died during a time on earth that is otherwise nearly unfathomable to most Westerners. I am not a history buff, nor a long novel aficionado, however Audible made this book very accessible and enjoyable. Thank you!
