Historia
Riley Kennedy’s emails keep getting crossed with her male colleague, Kennedy Riley. The infuriating man forwards them along with his annoying commentary and unsolicited advice. At least she never has to see him in person, since they work in different locations…until they come face to face at the office holiday party.

The worst example of the genre
Revisado: 12-12-19
There were severe moral breaches by the male protagonist that we are supposed to overlook, perhaps because he is good looking. This novel perpetuates the perception that it is ok for a man to pursue or even stalk a woman when she has made it clear she is uncomfortable or uninterested. I enjoy a good dose of chick lit, some romantic escapism, but this novel actually made me feel ill at times. The dialogue is unoriginal and twee. It regurgitated old fashioned stereotypes with no added dimension. This book feels like it was compiled by a bot that had been programmed by a man with everything he thought "women like". The book had me rolling my eyes and gagging more than it had me smiling. The voices were easy to listen to and flowed nicely - the only positive about it.

Captivating book
Revisado: 10-06-19
Firstly, before you buy this - read/listen to the wren hunt. If you enjoyed that, you will enjoy this! What I find amazing is how a character that seemed unredeemable in the wren hunt, you now feel warmth and empathy for... without going out of character! I read the wren hunt, and not willing to wait for a delivery of this book, bought the audiobook. I enjoyed the readers lilting voice and it's definitely a book I will be listening to again.
