This could’ve been a great book. A delightfully dysfunctional family’s story spanning a couple of decades. However, for reasons I don’t understand, you have lowered the quality of your book so far that I could NEVER recommend it to anyone!
Seriously, your imagination cannot go further than spewing out profane language by literally every character??? I cannot tell you how much this took away from the story! It completely contradicted the characters except for maybe Wendy on a bad day. But soft spoken Marilyn? Violet? Liza? Grace? David? Especially David and Marilyn? Two characters that were portrayed as decent, moral and loving people? I get that people swear once in awhile but every chance you could, you threw in profanity. It’s like someone trying to impress the “cool” people only resulting in looking completely uncool. It was juvenile and inane to add profanity which seems to be on every page. Check your moral compass, expand your vocabulary, read a little more classic literature and do better next time!

The hard core pornography

This was OBVIOUSLY written for tweens/teens and beyond sad and disappointing at the amount and length of pornography that was thrown in. It’s so sad that greedy authors lower themselves to write such drivel. Tweens and Teens should be reading books that inspire them to be better people that will help to build a strong moral compass not drive them to the gutter.

This book was not what it said it was! The ENTIRE book was so sad as Bette navigated life after the loss of her husband.
