Historia
Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

Frustrated
Revisado: 08-02-21
I LOVED her book Circe so I assumed this one would be great as well. These books are nothing alike. I didn’t realize this was a romance between the two male characters, it’s gushing with sappy descriptions of Achilles body parts , ect. The narrator is melancholy and monotone. Not for me.

This had some very interesting characters, good narration, and a surprise ending that you will either love or hate. Not a 5 star book book but worth the credit.

Soooo upset!
Revisado: 04-26-16
If you loved the heroic, charming, witty characters like the ones in Mortal Instruments, you won't find them here. This book was several hours of silly teenagers mooning over each other with little storyline. It lacked everything I dearly loved about all her other books. The narrator was extremely monotone, she made the story difficult to listen to.

Historia
Cassie Forrest isn't surprised to learn that the day she’s decided to get her life together is also the day the world ends. After all, she’s been on a self-imposed losing streak since her survivalist parents died: she’s stopped painting, broken off her engagement to Adrian and dated a real jerk. Rectifying her mistakes has to wait, however, because Cassie and her friends have just enough time to escape Brooklyn for her parents’ cabin before Bornavirus LX turns them into zombies, too.

Wasn't what I hoped for
Revisado: 12-14-15
Not much action, no twists, not much conflict. Just a girl trying to get back to her true love in the mist of a zombie apocalypse. Narration is good. Characters are all nice, too nice. I finished it but probably won't get the sequel .
