Historia
The gorgeous CEO of Brewer Air is my boss and, thanks to a bet, my new husband for six months. Why? Because I begged. I have a grandmother to support, a stack of bills higher than my five-foot frame, and as a cherry on top, I need to find a new place to live. Soon. Sure, Jason Brewer’s bright green eyes and chiseled jawline steal my breath. His smirk makes me weak. The former military hero’s protective nature is as sexy as watching him control a boardroom or fly a plane.

loved Jason Brewer's book!
Revisado: 08-19-24
Thanks so much to Adriana Locke and Valentine PR for the audio copy of The Arrangement! I love listening to Adriana’s books- they’re always very familiar and comforting and The Arrangement was no different. The book was great and the narrators really brought Chloe and Jason to life!
The Arrangement series is focused on the Brewer family, this time on Jason Brewer and his executive assistant, Chloe. After a bet with his brothers to marry for 6 months, Jason is in a little bit of a pickle. Enter Chloe, his childhood friend who is barely living paycheck to paycheck and could use a little cash. Getting married to her childhood (and current) crush and getting out of debt along the way sounds like the dream plan for her, but unknown to either party, mutual pining may make this marriage not so fake. I’m a sucker for a good marriage-of-convenience and getting married in Vegas trope so I was just along for the ride! This book was cute, funny, and a fun time for sure! I can’t wait for the next book in the series and I hope you all love it as much as I did!

Revisado: 07-15-24
Thanks so much to Adriana and Valentine PR for the ARC copy and advanced Listener’s copy! I really enjoyed This Much Is True!! It was short and sweet and a classic Adriana Locke small-town romcom- plus the audiobook was phenomenal as usual. I just really love Adriana’s books in audio format- they’re light, easy to listen to, and keep me entertained the entire time.
This Much Is True follows Laina, a pop star, as she bails on her wedding day back in her hometown. There’s only 1 place to flee though, and it’s right into the home of her ex-boyfriend/first love/one-that-got-away, Luke. Now that they’ve reunited after years, it’s time to address what happened back in the day as well as deal with unresolved feelings they both have.
This book was so cute and enjoyable, just what I always need whenever I pick up an Adriana Locke book.

A New Romantic suspense book from Adriana Locke!!
Revisado: 06-07-24
Pulse is Adriana Locke’s newest book and if you’re looking for some romantic suspense, this is the book for you! Thanks so much to Adriana and Valentine PR for the audio copy!
Pulse follows Troy, a member of Landry Security, and his assistant Dahlia. Troy is told he needs to take a vacation but he’s refusing… until someone starts stalking Dahlia and he decides to use his vacation time to get her somewhere safe and figure out who’s after her. This book was funny, spicy, and a great listen and sets up another series wonderfully! All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed listening and I’m sure you will too!

I tore out of rehab to win my husband back. It’ll work, too. He just needs to see that I’m clean, that I’m on my feet again. Until that happens, though, I’ve only got one guy in my corner—Beck, my husband’s best friend, who takes me in against his will and keeps me sane. Living with Beck is easier than I expected. And fun. Except I’ve got a long history of wanting things I’m not supposed to want.

Kate and Beck's story! so angsty, so good
Revisado: 01-25-24
First of all, thanks so much to Elizabeth and Valentine PR for the audio review copy of The Summer You Found Me. I’ve loved listening to the past 2 books in the series (even though they’ve given me so much anxiety) and now we finally have Kate and Beck’s book!!
We are introduced to Kate in the previous book in the series, The Summer I Saved You. She’s Caleb’s ex-wife and I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about her in her own book. I always have faith in Elizabeth O’Roark though, so I was ready to see how she was going to change my opinion on Kate. I found myself both frustrated with her and feeling for her the entire book. I don’t want to give away too many details, but she is currently staying with Caleb’s best friend, Beck (who has always had a crush on Kate). I really enjoyed Kate’s growth but really did appreciate Beck’s support and reassurance that she’s not a bad person. He's always been supportive of her and even though she’s made some MASSIVE mistakes, he’s really always stuck by her side when no one else would.
I did love this book a lot. This series is much angstier than her Devils series, but man do they suck me in even though some parts stress me out. I really have enjoyed all the books in this series and highly recommend the audiobook for those that love audiobooks- Samantha Brentmoor is THE VOICE of the series and always knocks it out of the park. Anyways, highly recommend this book but would suggest reading this series for the full effect!

The first time the local basketball star smiled at Elin, she was a goner. It was just so damn easy to fall for the dark-haired hometown hero with his charming smile and strong, athletic build. Thousands of sleepy smiles, aimless drives down country roads, and squeaks of the backdoor after a swing shift later, reality hits.

angsty, marriage in trouble, second chance romance
Revisado: 01-17-24
Adriana Locke is normally my go-to for funny and sweet romcoms but she’s got a couple angstier books out there and Written in the Scars is one of them. I was able to get an audiobook copy for review from Adriana and Valentine PR and if you’re going to listen to this audiobook (or even read it), keep those tissues handy.
Written in the Scars is a second chance romance that follows childhood sweethearts now estranged spouses Elin and Tyler. Tyler was injured when he was working in the mine in their town. They’ve been having some fertility issues that put a strain on their marriage (TWs) and his injury and the money issues that arose from it was the last straw. Tyler walked out after a fight and hasn’t been back to town since. When he shows up out of the blue, Elin is forced to confront all these issues she’s held in with regards to Ty and their marriage and Ty is determined to win her back. I really enjoyed how they handled their attempt at reconciliation and whether they even should on Elin’s part. The side characters were great, but Adriana… even though they technically get a happy ending, that ending broke my heart.
I enjoyed this book a lot, but definitely keep those tissues handy. Adriana can write angst with the best of them and now I’m needing a romcom from her as a chaser lol.

To my fans, I'm known as Ivan Fitzgerald. To my teammates, I'm just Fitz. To the girl I've been talking to online, I'm ShootsAndScores. There's no doubt in my mind that the woman on the other side of the screen is completely out of my league. Why wouldn't she be? Sure, I'm a professional hockey player, but that doesn't mean anything when I'm shy and awkward in the most basic social situations, and she's a fiery vixen who oozes sex appeal.

A spicy twist on the secret pen pal trope!
Revisado: 10-19-23
Fitz gets a book!!!!!!! I am so thankful to have gotten an audio copy of Neutral zone from Teagan Hunter and Valentine PR. I loved Fitz and Rosie’s story so much.
We’ve met Fitz and Rosie before in other books in the Carolina Comets series. Fitz is a star hockey player on the Caroline Comets and Rosie is a baker who works at Scout’s Sweets (the donut truck) that has a little side business going on. Fitz has been a big fan of Rosie’s streaming channel and they DM constantly, but Fitz knows who’s on the other side and Rosie has no clue she’s talking to her crush. When things begin to heat up in person, can the two of them overcome that little secret Fitz has been hiding?
This book was super cute. The banter was great, there were some laugh out loud moments, and the romance was amazing. I love the secret pen pal trope and the twist on this one made it extra good in my opinion. This was a great audiobook and I really enjoyed this addition to the series!

From the moment I first saw Caleb, I knew he belonged to me. And I knew I’d have to save him—because how else does the girl nobody wants win over the boy beloved by all? Nothing about his life or mine has gone to plan. He’s isolated and miserable. I’ve got a vindictive ex, two young kids, and more problems than I can count. But what hasn’t changed is this: It still feels like he’s mine. And it sure looks like he’s in need of saving.

Caleb and Lucie’s beautiful story!
Revisado: 10-17-23
I LOVED Caleb and Lucie’s book. I found it a lot more relaxing than book 1 (so good, so angsty lol) and really enjoyed Lucie and Caleb grow to know each other again. This isn’t a second chance romance, but they did know each other as children and now have the opportunity to reconnect as adults which I really enjoyed listening to! Thanks so much to Elizabeth and Valentine PR for this 4 star audiobook ARC- I loved listening.
Lucie grew up with a massive crush on her next-door neighbor Caleb and now as adults, she finds herself hired to boost morale at his company. She’s leaving an abusive marriage with her twins and Caleb is also at the end of his marriage so the timing is finally right for the two of them. However, there are lots of factors standing in their way- mostly Lucie trying to keep her abusive husband off her back as she tries to get a divorce and Caleb not processing the beginning of the end and the end of his relationship with his wife. Once both get to know each other and find support, you can see the relationship start to grow. Their road is a bumpy one, but the journey is worth the end.
I loved this book and can’t wait for the next one in the series. If you love these books, Elizabeth has an amazing romance series that’s a little lighter on the angst with her Devil’s series, and so much more in her backlist that I love. Can’t wait for book 3!

If Renn Brewer would’ve asked me to marry him, I would’ve said no. Why? One, his reputation precedes him. His name is in the headlines at least once a month. Two, he’s not just my brother’s best friend. They’re teammates. And three, I’m in my self-care era. Unfortunately, a version of me equates self-care with bad choices.

Fake marriage between Rugby star and best friend’s sister!!
Revisado: 09-07-23
Thank you so much to Adriana Locke for the audio copy of the Proposal!! I LOVED Renn and Blakely’s story so much. This 5 star read/listen kept me great company on a road trip.
The Proposal follows rugby star Renn and his best friend’s younger sister Blakely. After a Vegas trip for Blakely’s birthday, the 2 find themselves married after a drunken night and are forced to determine whether to annul or stay married for 90 days to help their images and reduce backlash. The chemistry between Renn and Blakely was outstanding and I spent the whole car ride going “YOU TWO BELONG TOGETHER THIS MARRIAGE ISN’T FAKE.” I loved Blakely’s brother and best friend and was so excited to get to meet the rest of Renn’s family.
Adriana Locke is one of those authors who just never misses. I know her books will always be good and they are such comforts to me. The Proposal is spectacular and I can’t recommend the book and audiobook enough.

The Carolina Comets are currently on a record-breaking run, and I intend to keep it that way. This means the last thing I need is distractions, but my mother didn't get that memo. She's getting married, and after the fiasco I caused at her last wedding, I'm required to bring a date. That would be easy, except for one little thing: I don't date. So why is the only person I want to take a single mom who can't stand me? We're a horrible match, and it makes no sense that I'd be into her. But the more time we spend together, the more it's starting to look like this might be one game I can't win.

Grumpy goalie meets single mom!!
Revisado: 08-07-23
I LOVE the Carolina Comets series by Teagan Hunter so I was ecstatic to receive an audio copy of Greer and Stevie’s story from Teagan and Valentine PR! This book is one of my favorites in the series and hearing the characters come to life was so enjoyable.
Glove Save follows grumpy goalie Greer, and Stevie (Scout’s sister from the donut truck and Scoring Chance) as Stevie begrudgingly admits to being Greer’s date to his mom’s 4th wedding in exchange for Greer teaching Stevie’s adorable and hockey-obsessed daughter, Macy, how to skate and become a goalie. Obviously, the two of them have a spark and watching their relationship develop and Greer becoming such a father to Macy made me really love this book. I love this series so much- the characters are lovable, the stories are funny, and the writing just draws me in so quickly. Teagan Hunter has definitely knocked it out of the park with this series.
