every in cell or martyr or someone singing the blues should read this book at least once! I love the exercises almost 50 of them and the idea that you can choose your boundaries just as anyone else can and that does not mean a life of deprivation but it's quite the opposite.

Good Pep Talk w occasional useful lists but missed

Great pep talk . ... but missed one final helpful tip I've come to realise just in my one procrastination filled life:

Let's face it, the joy you get from today's donut or TV show is more *immediate* than the joy you get tomorrow or on your death bed saying you made the hard decision.

I Kept waiting for him to say "find the immediate joy in the replacement behavior" or similar...

Humans do not do well with "Just Say No" ( remember that glassy-eyed look on Nancy Reagan's face as she implored to the camera to "just say no"? Me and my druggy teenage friends got great Giggles out of pronouncing that we wanted whatever good stuff she was on!

Humans do better with "INSTEAD OF..." modeling of replacement behaviors. That's why sexual terrorism by men will be ended fastest by creating positive models 4 more connection oriented replacement behaviors for how to offer ourselves poor connection to women send any number of other people going to jail.
It's just like people usually give up drugs when they find a connection to community that work better for feeling good then the drugs did.

toxic masculinity is toxic for all but the top 1%

I think the moment that really hit home and the rest of the book grew from was when he said that that year that boys are taught to reduce the range of emotional language is the year that their suicide rate skyrockets to that of five and six times that of girls. Toxic masculinity isn't just toxic for women - it's toxic for most men except maybe the top 1% of bullies. And then the author demonstrates that it isn't even good for the bullies in the long run. It's time for us to do better and be better not just for the women that scold us for damn good reason but because we can and be Fuller human beings and enjoy the benefits from that.

Better than the stalking romance fiction models

I kept marking passages to come back to another time and it's just seems to be so much more realistic how to seduce people rather than stalk them with only a vague hope that "something magical" may happen ( has most romance fiction suggests).

This gives detail on how to make the magic happen
or
learn that it's not going to happen
or
at least be entertaining and fun for the person that you're trying to seduce and not creepy or weird.

Give this to every man that seems frustrated that he's a "nice guy"© but can't seem to get any traction..

Sounds like Chinglish assembly instructions

Reads like advice for Boy scouts Ch1
Finally a few useful nuggets in ch2.
But then ch3 onwards reads like "Chinglish" assembly instructions.

Gets slightly better after that ch5 on reads more like a list of complaints of bad boyfriends AFTER y'all are together!

Sadly self contradictory as often will say "be yourself" and then tell you BE this particular kind of guy. If that's not you then ... Well.

In spite of those critiques, Those are valuable and its worth hearing a woman's perspective but its SO badly executed and (mercifully) short on real new content that it should be sold for a quarter credit.

Bizarre way of saying things, for example:

"Corresponds with a mans development, predominance and animosity" ch7 3min

Ch7 10:26
"When you back off your developments , they pass on straightforwdness since they are more computed and have a reason."

What? this book needs a translator who actually speaks English!
