Historia
I knew the sins of my past would call to collect what was left of my soul. If I'd known the price I'd pay, I would've sacrificed more to stay hidden from the magic. In the middle of Wyoming - away from the abnormals of the world - I thought I was free and clear. I started a new life. Found a love I'd never known in a husband, and a son who was my everything. And in a blinding instant, that life was stolen from me.

beginning is a little rough
Revisado: 05-15-21
yes the beginning is a little rough but the rest of the story is very good. while I get it's necessary I feel like it could have been better. don't usually read this author of it's been a while so I wasn't too familiar with her writing style but the story is good

I am the whole package. Ego and flair, with killer finesse. At the snap of my fingers, women fell at their feet for me. Until the day my eyes lock on Harper. She brightened the entire coffee shop, flat- lining my heart and stirring my hunter’s blood. One thing is crystal clear - this spirited temptress who talks with her hands will be my future bride.

the story was way better than the narrator perform
Revisado: 04-14-21
the narrator skill story she kept repeating certain words. but I think that's the partially due to the recording session that they did and her voice changes were distinctive but still annoying but that is my personal preference so I can't say that it's on her but I do prefer someone else besides her but her. In this story because her male voice wasn't strong enough and her female voice didn't exactly hit the mark. the overall story itself was okay almost typical alpha male with a shady past and passive female who chooses not to pay attention to signs which is typical of these type of stories. It's a plot device that doesn't give real credence to the main female character. there were some extra details that made it slightly different. which is much appreciated and it was kind of surface level of development for each character and the plot itself but it was entertaining enough for a short little read/listen.

performance was terrible
Revisado: 03-25-21
struggle to finish it. the story was so drawn out and sometimes it stopped making emotional sense. the characters I feel like they not believable and it was annoying at times. screen codependent and not emotionally stable for the two main characters and a personal thing for me is I don't like huge display of PDA written or otherwise for me it screams performance and very uncomfortable to be around those people.

it was better then I care to admit.
Revisado: 03-16-21
don't really care for either of the characters. when both of them were in the other books. so I wasn't particularly waiting for this book. but I do like the story and I'm not annoyed at the main female character. just because I wasn't really interested in their love story but this book in particular was really good. I feel like the characters didn't annoy me. which I feel like when they're writing the Love story the main female protagonist tend to be annoying and stupid or if they call them call them headstrong then they're just stubborn and doing stupid decisions to move the story that wasn't the case in this book. I will say that I am happy with the way that the author wrote the story. she didn't make either the male character or the female character stupid after hearing the main female storyline and how she conducts herself in situations I like her. I didn't dislike her before I just didn't care now, I don't particularly care but I like her personality.

In Clan MacKenzie, we fight for each other. We die for each other. And when I fell for Chevelle, those same rules applied to her. She loves me, but hates the family business. So, I hid the villain in me until today. Today, I need to do what must be done and that requires the help of the same people she would rather us keep our distance from.

struggle through the story
Revisado: 03-14-21
main heroin had some childhood trauma that she couldn't get past. though, that was understandable it seemed like she stopped developing mentally with the decisions that she would make she took everything that she was told for a fact by one of the other characters to be true even though she knew that this lady was a liar and she was was stealing from her and made her very childish and very immature. she had a strong stance against being like her parental figures but she was displaying the same things that she hated.the main heroine was very immature the hero was what got me through it and that was a stretch because I like to scare some more compared to her but he did some stupid things in the very beginning that just didn't make logical sense. service sum it up the main heroine was childish and immature and the main hero had anger issues that he couldn't think through all in all the storyline was good the character development was aggravating.

Hurts so much to listen 😭 too
Revisado: 09-28-19
Chapter three was enough for to say f**k this story. The author has tried to describe this character main female antagonist as being responsible until five years ago when she lost her two main jobs. But when she starts to tell her story you realize she's always been a reckless and irresponsible. She has had privilege, that she has shows. I can't listen to this. Chapter 3 was it for me I tried to see the white privilege girl going through a hard time but the thing about privilege even when you write it down it doesn't come across well. I understand she's giving up opportunity because her dad has built a lifestyle for her and he was willing to work his self to death to give it to her. But her responses to others. The disrespectful way shows you how much she's learned from how her dad work so hard to give her that privileged life.

Being dragged through a mirror, naked and screaming, onto an extraterrestrial ship was bad. Finding out I had been sold to a huge alien male who looks like the devil was worse. But learning he wanted to trade me to an intergalactic petting zoo was the worst of all! Now I'm whizzing through the galaxy with a robot butler, a trio of nib-nibs (they're like tiny green monkeys), and one huge, muscular, and very grumpy alien.

stupid characters okay plot
Revisado: 06-02-19
The main characters was stupid especially the female character. She made dumb decisions, it was like she didn't deserve to live because she was that stupidest decision maker I have ever read or listen to outide of badly made horror films. She was acting like a child, in all the situations she was put in.(She literally followed someone into an alley, a dark alley at that. Out of relative safety where you had some protection and his conversation was very suspect. Female MC knew he had no good intentions and she keep saying it, in her head) The male MC was not as stupid but he was up there. The female narrator was great compared to the male narrator and that's not saying much. This was a hard listening session and and a struggle to get through. what drew me to this audiobook was storyline. The plot had a fantastic amount of potential but the main characters ruined it. seems like the writer had the main female character do the most stupidest s*** to push the storyline; so the author can have a dramatic situation in place to push the storyline but it ruined the whole story the characters were so bad that things that could have been hilarious wasn't, I could not laugh at it because MC was so badly written, the female character that is. everything else was a little more tolerable

Not good for goodness sake is Bruja on the cover
Revisado: 05-09-19
struggled be on 💯; what's not a good read, it could have been, but the narration was off-putting and the story could have been better but I felt like the romance scenes was forced. It was awkward to listen to, and her attitude was annoying it was hard to justify her mood swings. Mc had no justifiable growth and development of her character. The author put her as a "know it all" and can be everything who don't will not accept help. which was a huge change from the first book it was like two different characters with the same awkward attitude it was annoying. And I know that a lot of authors struggle with the strong female character but this piss me off. It was annoying. now the actual plot and the actual world was promising but it was no real textures 2 that either so like I felt like it could have been way more development especially with the amount of time that was put into the book. also I expected this book do you have some real cultural significance to it since they was using thanks from the Hispanic heritage if I thought it was no real mention of any culture it seemed kind of sanitized in the main reason I picked up this book cuz I thought it would be some of that. but it seemed like the author kind of whitewashed it which it doesn't say that the characters White but the implications seen that way all went to a default mentality so if it was somebody from this culture from the Hispanic culture

Historia
Growing up on the tough Philly streets, Gwen O'Neill has learned how to fend for herself. But what is she supposed to do with a nice, suburban Jersey boy in the form of a massive Grizzly shifter? Especially one with a rather unhealthy fetish for honey, moose, and…uh…well, her. Yet despite his menacing ursine growl and four-inch claws, Gwen finds Lachlan "Lock" MacRyrie cute and really sweet. He actually watches out for her, protects her, and unlike the rest of her out-of-control family manages not to morbidly embarrass her.
