Historia
We are in the midst of a global mental health crisis, and mental illnesses are on the rise. But what causes mental illness? And why are mental health problems so hard to treat? Drawing on decades of research, Harvard psychiatrist Dr. Chris Palmer outlines a revolutionary new understanding that for the first time unites our existing knowledge about mental illness within a single framework: mental disorders are metabolic disorders of the brain. Brain Energy will transform the field of mental health, and the lives of countless people around the world.

could have been better written and articulated
Revisado: 01-20-23
the writer might have something interesting to say, but keeps going in circles and circles without getting to the point. 6 hours in and I still couldn't grasp much about his brain energy theory. the whole book sounded like a long academic thesis without a conclusion. it can benefit from editing and refinement to appeal to wider audience.

Historia
Famously, over a four-year period, James Dyson made 5,127 prototypes of the cyclonic vacuum cleaner that would transform the way houses are cleaned around the world. In devoting all his resources to iteratively developing the technology, he risked it all, but out of many failures and setbacks came hard-fought success. In Invention: A Life, Dyson reveals how he came to set up his own company and led it to become one of the most inventive technology companies in the world. It is a compelling and dramatic tale, with many obstacles overcome.

good, not great
Revisado: 11-17-21
I bought the book after listening to a great Dyson interview on the Tim Ferris show. I have to say I learned more from the interview than the book. the book drowned in details and missed the Forrest. the chapters do not link well and makes it harder to grasp the book as a single story. maybe Dyson didn't get the right help he needed on this book

Historia
Author Thomas Erikson explains that there are four key behavior types that define how we interact with and perceive the people around us. Understanding someone’s pattern of behavior is the key to successful communication. Erikson breaks down the four kinds of behavior types - Reds who are dominant and commanding, Yellows who are social and optimistic, Greens who are laid-back and friendly, and Blues who are analytical and precise - and explains how to identify and interact with each type of person.

this could have been a great book
Revisado: 05-16-20
the first half the book was useless redundant repetition. more useful meat in the second half but overall it failed to avoid being another consultant written book that brags about their method without getting into the needed details. further - I only discovered the PDFs by coincidence after finishing the book. there was no active referencing to PDF content that would've made things easier to trace and understand. I don't recall there was a mention of the PDF.
further - another common problem with several audiobooks recording - the audio volume is low. making it harder to listen to this in an outdoor environment or airplane.
