Good book overall, a bit slow, not sure should be split into books. cliffhanger. Male narrator didn’t do character justice and his female “voice” is terrible..

Great story and she is one of my favorite authors! Automatic download for me! As always a beautiful story.
Narrators we’re good but was missing Andi Arnt. Conner was awesome and Samantha was great except for her “male voice” left me distracted.

What made the experience of listening to Forged in Steele the most enjoyable?

Just when I think this series can't keep up the momentum and get better, it does!!
Wonderful story of Steele and Maren in the fast paced, plot turning KGI series Maya Banks is known for. Steele must finally face his past and why he is the "man of steel". The characters are brought to life in this book and I just had to keep listening 5 more minutes. And, did I forget to say HOT! HOT! HOT! Well, can't leave that out or would not be a MB novel!

What other book might you compare Forged in Steele to and why?

It is it's own story, they are all good and individualized with Maya's creative imagination and story telling!

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narration was the down part of the book. While I am adjusting to a new narrator in the series and finally getting used to Adam Paul's voice, he did a "gravely" persona of Steele, which I felt made Steele sound like an old man instead of "tough".

Another Great Book in Sizzling Hot Series

What made the experience of listening to Ours to Love the most enjoyable?

Great narrator and great series. Has a little mystery, strong DOM"s and good plot to keep the book flowing between hot scenes! I don't think this is my favorite of the series, but definitely a great book. If Menage' is not for you, I would not recommend reading this book or the series!

Have you listened to any of Lexi Maynard’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Her performances get better and better and draw you into the characters and stories!

If you could sum up Echoes at Dawn in three words, what would they be?

Intense,Thrilling and Passionate!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have to say I love the story line of Nathan and Shea, but RIO is fast becoming my favorite! ( until the next book of course). Typical Alpha male that is dark and dangerous that is passionate, protective and yummy all in one. I am glad to see the the story line extended from KGI- Kelly clan to the surrounding characters.

What about Harry Berkeley’s performance did you like?

Harry Berkeley played the rolls in the whole series so far with great accuracy to the character. He pulls you into the books and his voice makes you think dark and dangerous. His voice sounds a bit older than the characters in the books, but I think it was fitting to the total dark dangerous operative.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Spoiler- I was brought to tears when Rio was shot and dying.

Any additional comments?

Maya Banks does it again, but I think the series just gets better and better! I can't wait for the next one! So,if the first book did not motivate you, keep going! I promise you won't regret it. Definitely worth a credit.

Not a typical JR Ward book-Terrible naration.

What did you like best about Heart of Gold? What did you like least?

This is your typical romance.You can predict the book within the first 15 minutes. 2 people begin as adversaries and fall in love. Easy listening. Simple plot. I have read/or listened to every JR Ward/Jessica Bird book she has written. I love them all!! This one, I would not recommend. You can feel this is her first book written. Characters are superficial.. Narrator is terrible. The main character Nick sounds like an old man. You do not get the feel he is only 36 years old. The narration does not support the simple love story. I would not listen to this narrator again.

Would you be willing to try another book from J. R. Ward? Why or why not?

I love all JR Ward books and have read them all.

How could the performance have been better?

More inflection into the characters, slow down the narration, and keep the voice with the age of the character.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Better narrator!

They just keep getting better and better!!! I absolutlely love this series! I love the mix of the characters, the new ones, the old ones mingling back in, even the the eye opening tear jerking Jules and Robin. Into the Fire I could not stop. I had my Ipod on almost 24/7 until the book was complete. The title fits the book! Intense heat from the plot, characters and romance!! I can't wait for the next listen! Please.. don't change anything!
