Everyone’s book about substance use disorder

A must read for all medical providers, family members, general public. We all have a responsibility to change the narrative and be a part of the solution to deal with our substance use disorder crisis. My only disappointment was her almost exclusive use of “physician” when referencing medical providers. Nurse Practitioners are trained to provide wholistic care and with Physician Assistants provide a substantial amount of primary care services especially in rural areas. I hope that in the next edition a more inclusive term “medical provider” is used.

Excellent political commentary

Loved this book. At times difficult and depressing to listen to but her fighting spirit was infectious! I learned so much about how and where money plays a role in our politics and the history of our economy. The pattern of prosperity and depression was put into context and why we need regulations to protect the middle class. Highly recommend!
