Historia
On a secluded bluff overlooking the ocean sits a Victorian house, lavender with gingerbread trim, a home that contains a century’s worth of secrets. By the time Jane Flanagan discovers the house as a teenager, it has long been abandoned. The place is an irresistible mystery to Jane. There are still clothes in the closets, marbles rolling across the floors, and dishes in the cupboards, even though no one has set foot there in decades. The house becomes a hideaway for Jane, a place to escape her volatile mother.

Long, drawn out history lesson
Revisado: 09-19-24
this book just went on and on and on. It was a very long history lesson. The main character Jane started out kind of interesting with the potential to pull me in, then then it started to get into different characters. It droned on and got very boring I couldn't wait for it to be finished.

Suspenseful!
Revisado: 05-23-24
This book was a great surprise. The narrator's voice is kind of slow and drab sounding but as you get to know his character it fits perfectly. The story builds and builds. Lots of tidbits throughout . It is a very good murder mystery with a family plot and a love interest. Kept me fully engaged and I will definitely be checking out some of this authors other books.

God bless this strong, smart
resilient woman. Her story
touched me and made me so
proud of her for her bravery.
Kudos also to "Gina", "Midge", "Jason" and her Aunt and Uncle for standing by her and helping her through her journey. This story will stay with me for a very long time. May Brooke have the peaceful and successful life she deserves!

Nice story, great read for summer
Revisado: 04-27-21
Nice story, kept my interest. The narrator really did a great job. I will look for other books that she reads. I recommend this book for a summer read as it takes place in Mystic CT, a waterfront community. I loved all of the reference to the RI area where I am from. Not often do you come across books taking place on the New England Coast.

From the weather to the accents and expressions, she covered it all! I've already downloaded the 2nd book in the series and cant wait to start it.

Finally! I have have found an author who writes a story that pulls you right in. She describes people and places so well that you can picture them in you head and they stay within your heart. This is the second book that I have listened to by Susan Crandall that I have thoroughly enjoyed and I am about to start my third. The narration is perfect and not monotonous like some audio books. I highly recommend this book and author. Thank you Miss Crandall for sharing your talented story telling!
