Great story that just kept on rolling. Gripping fight scenes. Dialogue was cliche in parts, but I struggled to put it down. My main gripe is that the sound editing was patchy, with the volume and sound quality differing between characters within the same conversation. Made it really obvious that they were recorded separately and poorly cut together - either that or the mic levels were uneven. Was a little off-putting, but I otherwise enjoyed it.

Just what I needed today!

I've loved this author's other audiobooks so this one was an instant listen for me. Went in with high expectations and loved every minute. Cool story - a romance/mystery with good twists and fun side characters. And the romance was so funny and real and beautiful- gave it all a sparkly romcom feel. really interesting mix of genres.

So much to love about this. Script and actors were superb. Olivia Coleman's character was one of my faves from the TV show and she's even better here, in both the writing and the acting. My only complaint is that it ends too abruptly. The plot was just getting thick and juicy and it ended. I hope there's another series planned, otherwise I'll be feeling very short-changed. it's easy to open a can of worms - the truly interesting thing is how it's resolved. As it is, the ending felt like a cheap trick.

LOVED LOVED LOVED this. Binge-listened to You Only Die Twice last week and adored it, and this new one is JUST AS GOOD. Same funny, flirty vibes and also a good mystery, plus danger/suspense to keep you hanging on. Didn't want it to end, but also couldn't stop listening, go figure.
