Historia
It starts with the body of a Hollywood producer in the trunk of a Rolls-Royce, shot twice in the head at close range - what looks like "trunk music", a Mafia hit. But the LAPD's organized crime unit is curiously uninterested, and when Harry follows a trail of gambling debts to Las Vegas, the case suddenly becomes more complex - and much more personal.

Love Bosch!
Revisado: 08-24-24
As always, an excellent, twisty mystery. One of my favorite authors! I appreciate that Bosch is not afraid to anger anyone. He says and does what is right, no matter who gets ruffled (including his bosses and politicians). We need more of that in our society today!

Loving Heather Filson!
Revisado: 02-12-24
I’m a big fan of JD Kirk, and this second book in his DI Filson series did not disappoint! There were literal laugh-out-loud moments/scenes. I love all of the quirky characters, and the mystery had many twists and turns that kept me intrigued. Can’t wait for the next one!

Great mystery!
Revisado: 02-07-24
I am a big fan of JD Kirk’s DCI Logan series, so I had to read this one! The narrator was fantastic and this book really helped me to understand Heather’s character (who was introduced in the other series). I loved the plot and character development. Ace is definitely a favorite character, and I find myself hoping a certain (very forgiving) character will become a romantic interest in future. Looking forward to the next one!

Historia
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret - at least, that’s what she thinks.... But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well...she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth....

Creative & Entertaining!
Revisado: 10-18-23
My 11 year old son read this book, and insisted that I read it, too! So I did, and I loved it almost as much as he did. He has since read many in the series, and I will be following in his footsteps. With relatable and sympathetic characters, a creative and interesting plot, I was immediately drawn into the story and can’t wait to see what happens next for Sophie and her friends.

Revisado: 01-31-23
There was a lot going on in this installment of the series, and I’m here for it! Ross Greenwood is a master at drawing the reader in and making us think we know what is going on, but then there’s a twist that turns everything on it’s head! I was drawn into this story, from each perspective, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love that DI Barton has a healthy marriage and a realistic and relatable home life, in addition to his skillful detecting in his career. Looking forward to more!

Fantastic mystery/thriller, with excellent narration. I don’t usually enjoy novels where the killer is revealed to the reader early in the story, but this one kept me glued to my phone until it reached its exciting conclusion. I only discovered Ross Greenwood this week, but I’m about to start my third book by him. It’s safe to say I’ve become a big fan!

Monday mornings aren’t supposed to be fun, but they should be predictable. This series is great, and even though I know many readers who are tired of the “love triangle,” I still find this series entertaining. This newest Stephanie Plum adventure feels fresh and made me laugh out loud several times! I don’t think I will ever tire of this series! Also— as usual, this narrator is fantastic and brings the story to life. I can’t wait for the next book!

Disappointing
Revisado: 06-14-22
I’ve been a fan of this series for a long time. I keep reading them only to find out what will happen with the characters. I’m sorry to say that this book was 75% recipes and characters discussing food or tasting food. Only 25% (if that!) was devoted to character development and the mystery itself.
Possible spoilers (though, if you’ve read the series—not really):
Mike’s revelation was very out of character and seemingly out of the blue. It sounds like he needs a vacation, but nothing more. Additionally, it would be great if Hannah would finally realize that Norman is (and has always been) the one for her. After all of the time and money invested in this series, readers would love to see them together, happy and thriving, and solving mysteries together! Come on, now!
