Historia
From the author of The Power of One comes a new novel about Africa. The time is 1939. White South Africa is a deeply divided nation with many of the Afrikaner people fanatically opposed to the English. The world is also on the brink of war, and South Africa elects to fight for the Allied cause against Germany. Six-year-old Tom Fitzsaxby finds himself in The Boys Farm, an orphanage in a remote town in the high mountains, where the Afrikaners side fiercely with Hitler's Germany.

The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.

Historia
Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television "family."

The problem with lying about having a super weapon is that the bad guys might believe they have nothing to lose by doing something stupid that both sides will regret. Or, they might just call your bluff. Either way, the Merry Band of Pirates need a plan to deal with the Fallout.

like listening to a domestic dispute
Revisado: 04-02-22
I would describe the first 2/3 of the book like this.
.. you are sitting in your living room watching a really good movie on television... Every 5.minutes, just when things are getting really interesting, you have to put up with 15 minutes of loud arguing from the drunken neighbours next door fighting over the most stupid, pointless things. The fighting stops for 5 minutes allowing you just enough time to remember the plot of the movie as well as where the story was at before the next 15 minutes of mindless bickering starts all over again...and again... and again. I was just about to pull the plug and give up when THANKFULLY things picked up just enough to keep my interest to the end of the book. If it wasn't for the talent of Bray, that certainly would not have happened . Seriously, enough already. stop trying to stretch to series to 20 books and cut out all the "fluff" .. It really is getting difficult staying on the Skippy wagon.

Historia
Set in the turbulent times of 12th century England where civil war, famine, religious strife, and battles over royal succession tore lives and families apart, The Pillars of the Earth tells the story of the building of a magnificent cathedral. Against this richly imagined backdrop, filled with intrigue and treachery, Ken Follett draws the reader irresistibly into a wonderful epic of family drama, violent conflict, and unswerving ambition.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Historia
Most children go through a dinosaur phase. Learning all the tongue-twisting names, picking favourites based on ferocity, armour, or sheer size. For many kids this love of ‘terrible lizards’ fizzles out at some point between starting and leaving primary school. All those fancy names slowly forgotten, no longer any need for a favourite. For all those child dino fanatics who didn’t grow up to become paleontologists, dinosaurs seem like something out of mythology. They are dragons, pictures in books, abstract, other, extinct.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

I now know how to properly give a f*ck!
Revisado: 04-26-19
Dont let the title throw you... this is not a book teaching you how to be a rude f*ck to others. On the contrary. I won't give any spoilers as that would me being a rude f*ck plus you'd miss one of the best narrations I have come across in awhile.. As I listened to this, I felt I was being spoken to rather then read to, not an easy thing for an audible narrator to do. One small heads- up.. as the title implies... there is alot of f-bombs used but it fits nicely into the narration while not distractung from the messages. I am starting on my third listen in a row of this book now.. seems like I have alot of f*cks to give!

The battle-scarred star carrier Flying Dutchman is finally on her way back to Earth, after an exceptionally successful series of missions that have once again saved the world. The ship needs a serious refit, and her exhausted crew just wants a break from constant clandestine warfare against a vicious and superior enemy. Wishes come true, right? getting to be all about word count. Not story -
Revisado: 04-11-19
I have been a huge fan of this series since the start.. BUT... I think I am going to get off at this stop. Craig himself says that his writing style is very descriptive...and it certainly is. Some times it works... sometimes is doesn't. More and more..it is the latter of the two. It has become almost like listening to a soap opera in the sense that you can miss 3 weeks of your favorite soap ( or a few chapters in the audible book) and not have to worry about missing any of the story line. As an example.... ten minutes spent in the mind of a nuclear warhead as it reminisces about his playmates or the describing of a 30 second fire fight in so much detail it took over 6 minute and the only thing I didn't know what what color underwear the combatants were wearing...and all it created for me was a sense of frustration..."will you just get on with it please!" In my opinion, what suffers as a result of all this descriptive narrative is .. the story. It bogs down and goes nowhere. There are so many things that the "word count" could have been better used for such as expanding on the story line and character development. Parts of the narrative did nothing to advance the plot and seemed to be written strictly for RC Bray to show off his incredible talents. As for the constant and predicable bickering between Joe and Skippy?... sigh... it is like that old couple living next door that argue all the time... after awhile you want them to shut up and/or you close the window so you don't have to listen to them anymore... it is same cookie cutter argument over and over again and after 7 books and 7 credit it has become very old.
R.C Bray is the only reason I have kept coming back to the series.. he is a true master. However, having to go through another 6 books to find out what happens just isn't going to happen... I might just come back for book 14 to see how it ends.

Painful to listen to
Revisado: 12-06-18
I could not finish this book.. stuck it out for 16 chapters hoping/thinking that things would all come together but I just had to give up. This is the first time I have come across this style of writing and I found it very difficult to follow the story as there did not appear to be any. All the random characters that would tell their own little random story left you wondering where they fit into the big picture. Maybe if I stuck it out a bit longer things would have become clear but that would be like saying you can continue to bash your thumb with a hammer while hoping the pain will stop on it own one day ;)
