Historia
Empaths not only sense other people’s emotions, but also absorb them - sometimes to their own disadvantage, often leading to overwhelming sensory overload and feelings of confusion or low self-esteem. Their willingness to help and please others might make them prey to opportunists or cause them to give away more energy than they can afford.

So Grateful
Revisado: 11-12-24
I feel such an intense kinship with Anita. I am so grateful for her work. She has given me the words to describe things I've felt all my life and didn't know how to express. She has, quite literally, changed my life. Thank you a thousand times.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Riveting!
Revisado: 03-14-23
Of course I didn't know Harry's mother, but I am a mother and I feel that Dianna is so proud that her son escaped that horrible institution that she never could. I've listened to the book twice and am beyond impressed and touched by Harry's candor and vulnerability. Bravo to him for finding his voice and a platform where his truth isn't distorted by the despicable British press. Kudos to him for bravely exposing the pettiness of the royal family. This book is warm and wonderful and real. I hope he has another book in him...and welcome to America, Harry...we are proud to have you and your beautiful family.

Historia
Dr. Penny Sartori is a registered nurse who began researching Near Death Experiences (NDEs) in 1995 after one of her long-term intensive care patients begged her to let him die in peace. The event shook her deeply and eventually led her to enroll in a PhD program to research NDEs. The findings, along with the profound spiritual lessons that she has gleaned from her work, are published here. During her academic work, Dr. Sartori studied three samples of ICU patients during a five year period.

Revisado: 07-14-22
Thank you, Dr. Sartori and all the brave individuals who contributed their experiences to this book. My father had two NDEs and my brother had one. I found that the information in this book confirmed everything they told me about their experiences. I am dedicated to passing on their experiences in the hope of creating higher consciousness regarding the wonders of what lies beyond our human experience.

Historia
Like so many of us, award-winning writer Katy Butler always assumed her aging parents would experience healthy, active retirements before dying peacefully at home. Then her father suffered a stroke that left him incapable of easily finishing a sentence or showering without assistance. Her mother was thrust into full-time caregiving, and Katy became one of the 24 million Americans who help care for aging parents. In an effort to correct a minor and non - life threatening heart arrhythmia, doctors outfitted her father with a pacemaker.

Revisado: 04-28-22
Thank you, Katy Butler, for this timely help! Having been a fairly passive bystander to my father and brother's deaths in hospice care, I am the primary caregiver to my 88 year old mother and your book will be my guide. As a Buddhist, I love the way those philosophies are interwoven into your story. As a recovering alcoholic, I appreciated your inclusion of that wisdom, too. I am so grateful for you.

Historia
Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

Historia
Have you ever wondered "Why did I do that?" or "Why can't I just control my behavior?" Others may judge our reactions and think, "What's wrong with that person?" When questioning our emotions, it's easy to place the blame on ourselves; holding ourselves and those around us to an impossible standard. It's time we started asking a different question. Through deeply personal conversations, Oprah Winfrey and renowned brain and trauma expert Dr. Bruce Perry offer a groundbreaking and profound shift from asking “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”

The process of his dying experience was spiritually transforming for him, our siblings, his sons and myself. I am at a loss for words in explaining the importance of this book. I am ever-grateful to Kathleen Singh.
