What is reality?
Revisado: 10-11-24
Although I really like Mr Luzzatto's work, he truly outdid himself on this one. The concept is truly unique, and really makes you think about what really lies just beyond your version of reality. Parallels deals with a truly wacko theory that one of the protagonist develops, and actually is more real than he or anyone else thinks. Are the truths of quantum physics real, or something else entirely. This is a novel that really makes you think, and when you look around after reading it, you may find yourself wondering about the true fabric of reality. I strongly recommend you buy the book and see for yourself what just might be the real world around you.

John Mefford hits it out of the park
Revisado: 04-10-17
If you could sum up IN Defiance in three words, what would they be?
Wow. Just WOW!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Ivy Nash. She is a strong female lead, with a very intriguing back story. The way the author portrays her, you feel quite strongly abut her moral character, and sympathy for her life in the foster family world.
Any additional comments?
I expect a great story whenever I read one of John Mefford’s novels. I am absolutely gobsmacked by his latest, IN Defiance. Listening to it makes it even more realistic.
Following his tales of a strong, intriguing female character (Alex Troutt in his AT series), he introduces a phenomenal protagonist in Ivy Nash. John not only nailed this character, I think it may very well be his best work yet! I cannot wait for the next Ivy Nash book. Buy this book right now. You will not regret it.

Any additional comments?
John Mefford has done it again. He deftly weaves his plot and characters into a tale guaranteed to make you keep 'turning' the pages. In “AT Bay,” he presents a new group of characters who quickly become astonishingly close friends, the kind you really care about.
The plot is definitely unique and, once again, John creates fully developed personalities right from the start. Even the secondary characters are much more than cardboard cutouts. “AT Bay” is a winner. I enjoyed it tremendously, and know you will too.

Any additional comments?
If you enjoy a tale that keeps you riveted to the pages, Flagship is for you. Isaac Hooke literally hooks you from the very first page. His characters display traits that endear you to them, and you care what happens to them. As an author, Mr. Hooke deftly weaves his story, and includes the human drama and politics between the protagonists and the antagonists. He puts this all together, and completely enthralled me to the end. If you are unfamiliar with this author, do yourself a favor. Pick this book up right away; you’ll thank me for it. Of course, plan on staying up all night… you just can’t put it down. Truth in advertising: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and I enjoyed it tremendously.

Really makes you think...
Revisado: 01-31-16
Would you consider the audio edition of The Term Sheet to be better than the print version?
I definitely consider the audio version much better than the print version. This is due to the talent of Jeffrey Kafer. He captures the story exactly how I read it, and adds a unique flavor to the concept in his telling.
Who was your favorite character and why?
David Alexander. Mr Carlson (the author) makes him seem like a close friend, one you have known forever. Jeffrey Kafer (narrator) brings him to life in a way that the author would surely approve of.
Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?
Mr Kafer does such an excellent job of narrating that deciding on a favorite character is difficult indeed. I would have to stick with the protagonist, David Alexander, although all are quite good.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Silicon Valley meets The DaVinci Code.
Any additional comments?
After reading and reviewing "The Term Sheet" as an eBook, the author offered me a chance to listen to the audio version. Although it was free in audio form, I would definitely buy it if he hadn't.
