I mean.... DUDE!!! Audible Originals have never disappointed me. Normally it's a cutesy story that makes you smile or something more thoughtful that makes you ruminate on it long after it's over. But this??? DUDE!!! Y'all owe my job a full days work because I was not paying attention at all today with this story in my ears! I was hooked! Great narration. Great story. I need more of these!

Decent Story

I liked the story. It had a familiar theme, but a new take. what I didn't like was how slow the narration was. I doubled it and it was still suuuuper slow. But overall, a good listen.

Felt short

Not really a fan of the narrator. Her timing is... off somehow. Story was good. It feels like this book is setting up another book for success. But this one felt really short.

I half listened to these books for over a week. Sometimes I'd pay attention and sometimes it would be in my headset while my mind was on other things. I would lose concentration for sometimes for several chapters and I don't feel like I missed anything important. The plots are somewhat different but predictable and I felt sometimes anticlimactic.

The writer's humor is right up my alley. I was a bit distressed when I realized these audio books were more than 24 hours long, but then I started listening. Nick Prog writes a pretty decent story and Johnny Heller has just the voice to pull it off. I'm thoroughly entertained.

I'm only on chapter 6 and I'm thoroughly entertained! If you're looking for a story that is silly and full of bad decisions, look no further. I've been smirking and rolling my eyes in exasperation for the last hour.

My one thought while listening to this book was: Real people don't think/act like this. The premise was interesting, the journey was... eh..... The main character jumped to conclusions and followed a logic that a normal person just wouldn't. And the thing that bugs me the most is we NEVER get told why the killer killed the first person. There are assumptions but the reasoning is Flawed with a capital F. It's not the worst book ever, but I can't say the wrap up left me satisfied.

super predictable

Cute story to pass the time, but very predictable. I couldn't relate to the female character that put up with being called a gold digger numerous times in her own family's house, but, I understood the need for the character to have patience in order to keep the story going. I'm hoping reality is different from this story. Also, I had to speed the narration up considerably. something about the narrator's inflections and pauses made me want to scream at times.

Very cringy to listen to. the narrator was fine. The story was... uncomfortable. Recommended if you're in a mood to listen to stories that don't sit well when they're over. Sometimes we need stories like this. Today was not the right day for me...
