Historia
Trunks packed with potions and cures, Jane Aire sets out on a crisp, clear morning in October to face the greatest challenge of her sheltered girls’-school existence. A shadow lies over Thornfield Hall and its reclusive master, Edward Rochester. And he’s hired her only as a last resort. Jane stumbles again and again as she tries to establish a rapport with her prickly new employer, but he becomes the least of her worries as a mysterious force seems to work against her.

Loved this retelling of Jane Eyre
Revisado: 10-23-24
This was the Jane Eyre retelling I didn't know I needed. It kept the my favorite parts of the original story (the main characters, the mystery, and the somewhat mystical atmosphere), subtracted some parts to make it more palatable for modern sensibilities (i. e. Mr Rochester's first wife was not a "madwoman" and has definitely passed away--no attempted bigamy, no strange representation of mental illness, etc). And I loved how Jane is a witch. I never would have considered it, but Jane's capabilities and background in this book feel verrrry appropriate for the original Jane Eyre--especially with how the original Rochester sees her. 😉 I was very impressed with this book and will look into reading more by this author.
The performances by the narrators were well done. Bravo!

Historia
After growing up in Nashville with two musician parents, I promised myself one thing—I would never, ever fall in love with anyone who had anything to do with the music scene. I will take my stable, albeit boring, accountant boyfriend, thank you very much, and live securely ever after. At least, that was the plan. Who knew one ridiculous party where boy band sensation Finn Thatcher showed up would turn my life completely upside down.

Great story and great performance
Revisado: 07-19-24
I had read the ebook version of this story already, so I knew that I already loved the story. The characters are so lovable and great--so easy to relate to and root for. I think Fin might be my favorite fictional celebrity haha.
The narrator gave a great performance! She did a great job bringing the characters to (audio) life. I would listen to more of her audiobook narrations.

Historia
When you get up in the morning, the last thing you expect to see is a murdered guy hanging outside your window. Things like that tend to draw the attention of the local police, and when you're squatting in your parents' old house until you can afford to buy it, another thing you can't afford is the attention of the cops. Oh yeah. Hi. My name is Pet. It's not my real name, but it's the only one you're getting.

Great narration!
Revisado: 01-23-23
I've already read the ebook version of "Between Jobs" (and the rest of the series), so I already knew I loved the story. But the narration is so good! I don't know that I really had a strong voice for Pet in my head, but the narrator was just perfect. The tone and inflection just really captured Pet. I very much enjoyed it!

Historia
What is a maiden to do when her prince is not a prince, her hair won’t stop growing, and someone has cursed her to sleep for 300 years? In Polyhymnia’s case, it seems expedient to get up with the help of a kiss or two, trailing her hair behind her, and find out who did it. Nothing quite works out as planned, however, and Poly can’t be sure if that’s because she never seems to be able to remember things like the mysterious spindle that keeps showing up around her, or if it’s the fault of the wizard who woke her but never stops long enough to explain anything.

Delightful
Revisado: 05-28-22
This is a delightful story with a great narrator. I am very pleased with how the voice actor portrayed all the various characters, especially the main ones. I'm impressed with how well the actor captured Luck's vagueness, Poly's determination, and Onepiece's puppiness! Esther Wayne did justice to W.R. Gingell's whimsical story. Highly recommend!

Interesting and fun time travel adventure
Revisado: 10-28-19
I liked this so much better than other time travel stories I've read (I haven't read a ton, but I've read several). I enjoyed the characters and pacing very much. The narrator I thought had a great voice for this story. My only complaint--and this is just me it won't matter for everyone--was there was some cussing. It wasn't over-the-top or anything (thank goodness!) and actually fit the characters, but it's just something I'd prefer not to hear.
