too much sex for my taste

I love the idea of doing a modern take on mythology. But I am more interested in the Demeter/Persephone psychological story. There is just so much sex that is needed to get across the passion and it really gets old.

weak story, mostly vehicle for sex

I personally am not a fan of more than 2 sex scenes, I like crime a lot but this kind of obvious weak story line interspersed with graphic sex scenes is not for me. Some folks might like it though. But I won't be continuing to read this author. The reader was good.

i love Nick Pirog's books. But this is my favorite. it took a minute to get used to Jerry's voice. I kept hearing someone else in that role but he won me over. i love dogs and writers that write from their point of view. cats too. but especially cats who are really dogs.

I really enjoyed reading about this proud ballet dancer and his joys and struggles, very honest and lots of wisdom for anyone at the top of their game. Very well written and the reader was great.

I would like to see a series done from this story. I was sad when it was over. Yes this book was one of the best. I am looking forward to reading her other her books

true to the bone

I personally got really irritated with Ms Upholder extraordinare, Gretchen Rubin. She reminded me of all the perfect people out there that I do not have the tendency to be. By the end of the book , I had warmed up to her and realized that her little theory was right on point. I have taken a lot of these tests that put you in one group or another. This has been more helpful then most. Even though this is just 4 tendencies, I see it play out all the time, especially at work. But for me, the greatest benefit I am getting is personal. Although I haven't been working much because of the covid, and I read her book for something to do. It was recommended by a coworker. It has helped me quite a lot accept my tendency, see it for what it is and take actions to mitigate negative effects of having said tendencies. I highly recommend reading this book.
