A bit confusing in the beginning
Revisado: 04-18-24
I love Ann Cleeves and everything she has written. However, when she sets the table for this story, all these characters are so confusing. Maybe I wasn’t listening close enough, but I was a little disoriented once I got it. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened as always with her stuff. Well done though well done.

Historia
In Dimpna Wilde’s veterinary practice, an imminent meteor shower has elevated the usual gossip to include talk of shooting stars and the watch parties that are planned all over Dingle. But there are also matters nearer at hand to discuss—including the ragtag caravan of young people selling wares by the roadside, and the shocking death of Chris Henderson, an elderly local, in a hit-and-run. Just hours before his death, Henderson had stormed into the Garda Station, complaining loudly about the caravan’s occupants causing noise and disruption.

Once again, Claire Keegan has gripped my heart and mind and taken me to a new place. Her words, the concepts, the conciseness and simplicity of the story and measured messages are timeless and evoke great grace and wisdom. I certainly have no words. But only more thought and more joy.
