The author weaves a story so complex skillfully. Leaves you wanting more. You could actually experience the love he has for every one of his characters. They are not unidimensional but seem to be alive.

I enjoyed the audible book mainly for Dan Jones’ writing and research. He made the history of the Plantagenets relatable to us. Clears up many misapprehensions about empire building and technology in the Middle Ages. Often you get the feeling from film and pop culture that these were a dark time, but it was a time wroth with growth on all levels of human culture and civilization. The narration was a bit odd due to certain times Mr. Chafer added “air quotes” but I grew to like it and it was very appropriate.

I Recommend it and you I think can enjoy it like I did.

I started reading Stephen King’s novel back in 1980. The Shining was the third novel I read and it scared the heck out of me. I thought that the book was a classic in horror and I read it several times. I usually do not like sequels, but I saw the movie and I loved it. Will Patton is a great voice performer and reader, brings emotion bring to life the prose of Mr. King.

I was first introduced to David Brin's excellent Uplift Saga's when I was still a teenager (early 80s) and I was impressed with the story and felt like this could happen here and now. Now over 30 years later the books are still relevant today, even more so. The idea of genetics manipulation for uplifting other earth species to sapience and equality to humans is a logical path we can take to stop thinking of aliens and life on other planets and generate the life here on earth that together we would be able to colonize the stars. No longer alone in space and in the universe. Read this series and listen to George Wilson's masterful narration. He has great range and brings the words to life.

The author spells out the games people play to, attain, apply(or not to) and maintain(or not to) power. Mr. Greene gives us a template, which is applicable to all people regardless of circumstances, race, geography, religion(or lack of), philosophy, economic, political, professional, and social standing.

Yet, the most important message he gives us is this: —We all apply and practice some or all of these laws, in varying degrees, in every facet of our lives, albeit modified to fit our particular circumstances, for the most part unknowingly(ignorant). Therefore, make yourself conscient to the laws of power and wield them responsibly and wisely; STOP BUNGLING THROUGH LIFE !!!

Victor Sebestyen paints a broad and fairly objective portrait of the man Lenin. He neither deifies him or slanders Lenin, put provides an accurate account of the man Lenin with his particular quirks, failings and strengths. The author squarely places Lenin within his time and life of a Russian revolutionary in the last declining years of the obsolete, absolute monarchy of the Romanov Dynasty and how he directly and inadvertently established a « communist » dictatorship of the « proletariat », which was a façade for the absolute monarchy it replaced.
