Historia
Audrina remembers a better time, when her husband, Arden, was a young man with a heart filled with devotion for her. He didn't used to be this ambitious, this expansive...this cruel. But then, the death of Aurdina's father changed a great many things. When the reading of her father's will reveals that Audrina herself will control 51 percent of the family brokerage, the halls of Whitefern again don't feel safe. Arden's protestations become frantic, nearly violent.

I hope the movie is better
Revisado: 11-13-21
The narrator wasn't very good at the male voices and made Audrina sound stupid and naive. I'm hoping if both books are put into a movie the characters will be better. She was a perfect voice for Sylvia though. The character of Audrina needs to be more mature and not so kid like in second book.

Historia
Cleary, North Carolina, is a sleepy mountain town, the kind of place where criminal activity is usually limited to parking violations. Not so, lately. Four women have disappeared from Cleary over the past two years. And there's always a blue ribbon left near the spot where each of the women was last seen. There are no bodies, no other clues, and no suspicion as to who their abductor might be. And now, another woman has disappeared without a trace.

Historia
In a quest for a simpler life, Helen and Nate have abandoned the comforts of suburbia to take up residence on 44 acres of rural land where they will begin the ultimate, aspirational do-it-yourself project: building the house of their dreams. When they discover that this beautiful property has a dark and violent past, Helen, a former history teacher, becomes consumed by the local legend of Hattie Breckenridge, a woman who lived and died there a century ago.

It was ok

I thought the story was a good listen. Kept my interest enough. Liked the characters and thought the narrator was good at the voices except for the men.

Couldn't put down!
Revisado: 10-01-21
This story was intriguing, fun, mysterious, had heart, and not once did I lose my thoughts to other things because I was board. I thoroughly enjoyed the narration as well. Listened to this book straight through no sleep. The only complaint I have is there was way too much cussing and using Jesus's name as a swear word way too much! It's too bad the author feels that it's not offensive to those of us who want to listen to good books without having to hear God's name as a curse word. Interesting how no other God but Jesus is ever used as a curse word.

Historia
I began to suspect something was wrong with the gothic building when its family fled in the middle of the night, the children screaming, the mother crying. They never came back to pack up their furniture. A new occupant, Anna, has just moved in. I paid her a visit to warn her about the building. I didn't expect us to become friends, but we did. And now that Marwick House is waking up, she's asked me to stay with her. I never intended to become involved with the building or its vengeful, dead inhabitant. But now I have to save Anna.

Had me at hello
Revisado: 09-29-21
I really enjoyed the story. It was well thought out and well executed by the narrator who I hope to hear in other audiobooks. It's a straight up intriguing ghost story that had me hanging on every word from beginning to end.
I liked the characters and the interaction they had with each other and the ghost. I also really liked the obscure hobby/job that the new neighbor had and how it was effected by the haunting.
I'll definitely be reading this story again.

Historia
Ten years ago he killed my son. Today I married him. Ten years ago my darling son Jesse was murdered and our perfect family was destroyed. My strong, handsome boy, so full of life, became a memory, a photo I carried with me everywhere. But today I’m finally close to finding happiness again. My ash-blonde hair has been curled into ringlets. Carefully placed white flowers frame my delicate features. The small, drab chapel has been prettied up with white satin, and there are tiny red hearts scattered on the small table where I will soon sign the register with my new husband.

Not for me.
Revisado: 09-27-21
I liked the sweet love story and the family, but did not care for the religious aspects throughout. It gives lessons in good and bad voodoo, but has no regard for Christianity truths. The main character was lifted into a Jesus like status toward the end which was disturbing. The narrator did a wonderful job and that's why I gave at least 2 stars. Ihope to hear him in other books.

Historia
West Hall, Vermont, has always been a town of strange disappearances and old legends. The most mysterious is that of Sara Harrison Shea, who, in 1908, was found dead in the field behind her house just months after the tragic death of her daughter, Gertie. Now, in present day, 19-year-old Ruthie lives in Sara's farmhouse with her mother, Alice, and her younger sister, Fawn. Alice has always insisted that they live off the grid, a decision that suddenly proves perilous when Ruthie wakes up one morning to find that Alice has vanished without a trace. Searching for clues, she is startled to find a copy of Sara Harrison Shea's diary....

Brilliant and well told!
Revisado: 09-25-21
A well written story and well performed. I was on the last 3 hours when I accidentally fell asleep. The next day I just started from the beginning which I'm so glad I did! The second time I understood the characters more, and the past and present was so much clearer. A very good audiobook! Intriguing, surprising, and haunting. I can't wait to read more from this author!

This book is about spiritual warfare and the paranormal, and how these paranormal events shaped my Christian beliefs. What you are about to read are true spiritual and paranormal accounts witnessed and lived by me and my immediate family members. These experiences took place during my childhood and into my adult life. This subject of the paranormal is a touchy subject with many individuals and with many Christians.
