Historia
When an experiment to study quantum uncertainty goes spectacularly wrong, physics student Bill Rustad and his friends find that they have accidentally created an inter-dimensional portal. They connect to Outland - an alternate Earth with identical geology, but where humans never evolved. The group races to establish control of the portal before the government, the military, or evildoers can take it away. Then everything changes when the Yellowstone supervolcano erupts in an explosion large enough to destroy civilization and kill half the planet.

Way too much fun!
Revisado: 07-06-22
More, PLEASE. What a rollicking good time! As a huge fan of The Bob's, I was especially impressed (smitten) with Dennis Taylor's female characters here.

Historia
How do you stage a mutiny when you're only awake one day in a million? How do you conspire when your tiny handful of potential allies changes with each job shift? How do you engage an enemy that never sleeps, that sees through your eyes and hears through your ears, and relentlessly, honestly, only wants what's best for you? Trapped aboard the starship Eriophora, Sunday Ahzmundin is about to discover the components of any successful revolution: conspiracy, code - and unavoidable casualties.

'Hard' Science Fiction?
Revisado: 12-15-21
What a disappointment. The 'hard' part was finding a coherent storyline in this monstrosity. Try hard enough and you will find it, but for me it was not worth the effort. As far as the 'hard science'? Sophomoric at best...

Political tripe
Revisado: 09-15-19
Poorly conceived, goofy sophomoric plot devices and thin, vapid characters. I almost got a chuckle in one or two places, but the inane political commentary was the last straw. The attempt to combine Douglas Adams with Rush Limbaugh turns out just as awful as you'd imagine, except worse. Pure trash.

Historia
Detective Elijah Baiey is called to the Spacer world Aurora to solve a bizarre case of roboticide. The prime suspect is a gifted roboticist who had the means, the motive, and the opportunity to commit the crime. There's only one catch: Baley and his positronic partner, R. Daneel Olivaw, must prove the man innocent. For in a case of political intrigue and love between woman and robot gone tragically wrong, there's more at stake than simple justice. This time Baley's career, his life, and Earth's right to pioneer the Galaxy lie in the delicate balance.

Grand Master in his Prime!
Revisado: 07-26-18
Isaac Asimov started writing his Foundation stories in the early 1950's when he was only 18. As highly as these legendary works are generally regarded, 30 years later the Robots of Dawn represents the maturation of his true genius.
This is the first of Asimov's books to begin laying the groundwork for the unification of the Foundation Empire and Robots stories.
By sheer, and fortunate, happenstance this book was my first introduction to Isaac Asimov. I will always treasure it.
Giskard was there first!
