Historia
Kate Marshall was a promising young police detective when she caught the notorious Nine Elms serial killer. But her greatest victory suddenly turned into a nightmare. Traumatized, betrayed, and publicly vilified for the shocking circumstances surrounding the cannibal murder case, Kate could only watch as her career ended in scandal. Fifteen years after those catastrophic events, Kate is still haunted by the unquiet ghosts of her troubled past. Now a lecturer at a small coastal English university, she finally has a chance to face them.

A tale that sucks you in and keeps your attention.
Revisado: 09-07-21
Nine Elms is one of the better mystery/suspense story I've read in a long time.
Characters were interesting and relatable. Bryndza wasn't afraid to present characters that have flaws and made you feel like they could be your friend or neighbor. I am so happy this is now a series. I want more of Kate and her Professor's assistant.
My only complaint is that the ending was rushed. Great build up with suspense and then it's just over.
This was my first book by Robert Bryndza and I look forward to exploring his other offerings.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

Entertaining, fast-moving meet-cute story.
I enjoyed the light hearted and fast paced writing style.
I like to alternate long heavy books with light and fun books. This one fit the bill.
The narration was perfect.
Highly recommend.

Historia
Eleanor, the charming manager of a cozy tea shop, enjoys the transportive ritual of making a cup of Masala Chai tea, reminisces about the tea's origins, and delights in the beauty of her quaint English village during the holidays. Bedtime stories are narrated by the world's most celebrated voices and written with no beginning, middle, or end so you don't stay up to hear what happens next. They're interesting enough to give your mind something to focus on, but delivered in a way that encourages sleep.

Wants and needs are two different things.
Revisado: 02-01-20
Sometimes you don't know what you need.
Completely charming story that pulls you in and takes you on a journey. Engaging yet enraging at times. And sometimes a bit too predictable. The author is capable of painting a wonderful picture with words. I felt as if I was drawn into the physical places described in the book. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
Narration is superb. Rafe Beckley gave an excellent performance of all characters in the book.

Historia
Never Have I Ever been so infuriated by a man I wanted to kiss. They say opposites attract, but I beg to differ. Combust is more like it. Because every single time I talk to Zach Nolan, I see red. The too-good-looking, too-smart, too-effortlessly-charming single dad who works down the hall from me has turned getting under my skin into a sport. Call it the battle of wits between the wedding planner and the divorce attorney. Trouble is, when we’re forced into closer quarters, planning an engagement party for our best friends, I start to see his other sides....

Great story that didn't focus 100% on the female perspective. A little predictable but kept me interested. I've enjoyed other Lauren Blakely books in the past and look forward to reading more. Amanda Ronconi once again hit it out of the park with a great narration. Jason Clarke may have become my new favorite sexy voice that I could listen to all day.

Save your time for something worth listening to.
Revisado: 10-18-19
I really tried to like this. I actually listened all the way to the end. It was predictable, boring and unimaginative. I could listen to Amanda Ronconi read the phone book but the multiple fake accents made for an uneven narration. I had to return this one.
