Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Truly an incredible story with lots of exciting plot twists to keep things interesting. There is also loads of geeky science detail that really adds to the story.
Narration was also very well done. This book is a must listen, for sure.

This book comes highly recommended from a lot of my physique competitor friends, and it was certainly not over hyped.
Really well organized book, sharing sound (non-dogmatic) principals backed by research and empirical evidence. Excellent resource!

Historia
Primal Endurance shakes up the status quo and challenges the overly stressful, ineffective conventional approach to endurance training. While marathons and triathlons are wildly popular and bring much gratification and camaraderie to the participants, the majority of athletes are too slow, continually tired, and carry too much body fat respective to the time they devote to training. The prevailing "chronic cardio" approach promotes carbohydrate dependency, overly stressful lifestyle patterns, and ultimately burnout.

Built To Last, the defining management study of the 90s, showed how great companies triumph over time and how long-term sustained performance can be engineered into the DNA of an enterprise from the very beginning. But what about companies that are not born with great DNA? How can good companies, mediocre companies, even bad companies achieve enduring greatness?

Fascinating and very well researched
Revisado: 02-23-15
Great read! Especially for those managing large or small businesses, and want some general insight on how/where to focus their efforts in order to get on the path to sustained success.
I think these insights go beyond business, and can be applied on a personal level too. There's some really good examples of this in the book.

A transformation road map. Incredible book.
Revisado: 06-02-14
Where does Man 2.0 Engineering the Alpha rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Narrators (also the authors) did a f#$%ing great job.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Man 2.0 Engineering the Alpha?
The underlying theme of a "hero's journey" was the perfect analogy and framework for getting the messages of this book across.
Have you listened to any of John Romaniello and Adam Bornstein ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've heard them in podcast interviews before...always outspoken, entertaining, and eloquent.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The preface was well done, and of course the forward by Arnold Schwarzenegger was fitting...and obviously a great endorsement.
Any additional comments?
Hands down one of the best health/fitness book I've ever read and listened to (bought myself a hard copy to mark up!).

What if charisma could be taught? For the first time, science and technology have taken charisma apart, figured it out and turned it into an applied science: In controlled laboratory experiments, researchers could raise or lower people's level of charisma as if they were turning a dial. What you'll find here is practical magic: unique knowledge, drawn from a variety of sciences, revealing what charisma really is and how it works. You'll get both the insights and the techniques you need to apply this knowledge. The world will become your lab, and every person you meet, a chance to experiment.

The elements of charisma de-constructed
Revisado: 10-29-12
What did you love best about The Charisma Myth?
What a fantastic book! Olivia has managed to de-construct the elements of charisma and explain them with the help of fascinating stories and the results of ground breaking science. I especially liked how she provides a ton of useful examples and exercises to help solidify each major topic; after applying these, I can honestly say that I noticed a big difference in my own level of charisma and confidence in general.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
It was fascinating to learn that the secret to great focus and charisma can start with your toes!
