Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Amazing with heart!

I heard so much about this book and about Jeanette McCurdy prior to listen and finally decided to listen myself. Well written and presented so much to present exactly what she felt! Not all events or feelings were relatable but ultimately I think this commentary on her own life speaks to something we all have felt, shame and striving to make something meaningful out of ourselves and the life we're given. I enjoyed this book so much!

Can't stop listening!

I really wasn't sure what to expect but the butterfly effect has not let my attention go yet! It really is interesting to follow all the changes our world has been going through under the sheets. Definitely worth the listen!
