I loved the Spanish translations and how he doesn't remember anyone's name so he just assigns random names to people lol. it's a good adventure story, glad I picked it up

so book 5 is all new characters, book 6 is about Gibbs and Alan, book 7 will go back to the bowl in Wyoming and the new world from book 5, you need to be invested for the long haul for this story arc to play it's course.

Great conclusion to the trilogy, with room for a fourth book without a cliff hanger, which is difficult to pull off. Great writing, Nicholas incorporated some interesting new elements to the story without loosing focus. There are some good twists I was not expecting and some good character development that was needed. RC Bray is fantastic as always. It's nice to find a unique post apocalyptic story. I would definitely like to see a fourth book exploring some of the background of these new elements. Great job Nicholas and RC!

If you liked the trippy part of The Prestige with Hugh Jackman, give this one a go.

There is no magic, just the philosophical questions that arise when teleporting.

This book is well written and performed, love the snarky punk kid who doesn't seem to have what it takes until he is tested.

and it didn't feel like all of my brain had come along for the ride" LOL

Brilliant book! The amount of humor and one liners were spot on.

I love it when I can go from, "sure, I guess I will give it a try" to "what? its over already? where's my replay button!"

I usually have reservations when the author self narrates, you get a trade off from what a professional narrator can offer, which in my opinion, entails deeper character development (when done right), wider fan base when fans love and follow a certain narrator, unbiased reading so there is no over emphasis on areas the author is more attached to. Instead, you get a narrator that will speak it as it was meant to be when it was written, but you lose some of the richness a great narrator can provide. It's not that I prefer one way to the other, there are certain narrators that could cause this book fly off the virtual shelf, and of course there are narrators whom I am very glad did not get their grubby little paws on this great read.

I think Yahtzee is quite funny and it shows, his voice is a little hard to describe other than it is British LOL, slightly dull or drab, but it works, definitely fits our hero pilot for sure, not so much the other characters, but I like him well enough to give all 5 stars.

"Next time you stop by, could you do me a favor? Tell me how deep the water is." LOL

Alexa alert! One of the main characters is Alexa and kind of messed with my Echo device a couple of times when her name was mentioned, most of the book i listened to on headphones so I cannot say how big of a problem it would be for someone who only listened to the book through Alexa. Funny that this is something an author will need to consider in the future when developing a character.

Well written, science was a little over my head, but can't hold that against the author LOL. This was my first experience with both Daniel Suarez or Jeff Gurner, they are very well paired and I hope to hear more from both of them. I would go so far as to say that Jeff is in my top 3 favorite narrators at this time. The character Jon Grady was fantastic, really easy to like and relate to, I could really feel and share his emotions throughout the book, a lot of that is due to a fantastic performance by Jeff Gurner. I listened to this book back to back which is rare for me, If there is a sequel I'll be all over it, hope you enjoy it too.

Truthfully I have no idea who Captain Morgan was and he probably had nothing to do with the US Marines, so I will defer to your creative license :)

Kind of gives me "The Stand" sort of vibe, other than the post apocalyptic environment, the evil bad guys are very similar, there is no "spiritual side" to Mountain Man though so there are plenty of differences from Stephen King's work.

We get the perspective of several characters so it is very enjoyable, surprised to get the perspective from a functioning alcoholic, so that was quite interesting.

No one is a super soldier, and no one is a blundering idiot so its easy to relate to most of the characters, Scott might be a little "too normal" I mean, how many bakers do you expect to survive the apocalypse? ha ha, but its all good, well written and well performed.

Love the fusion of time travel, witch craft, and quantum mechanics.

The journal entries, email, and other correspondence between all of the characters just gets so monotonous it's almost unbearable. The action is good though, anything that is "here and now" is good, I just didn't like suffering through the monotony in order to get to the good stuff, i almost turned it off so many times, but I made it through, its definitely a "one and done" read for me, I will not be listening to it again.

The performance is good, not sure why so many narrators were needed, but they were all good.

Very awesome sci fi book, I had no expectations and no idea really what the book was about going into it, which really is the best way to be pleasantly surprised. Kloos clearly served in the military, way too much detail for a military advisor to supply him with content. I Wikied him and found he served in the German military so that confirmed my assumption and made it clear to me why he had Grayson salute a Marine Corporal, yeah we just don't do that here in the US, but that's ok, its the future after all, things can change. I enjoyed the nostalgia of bootcamp, especially those dreadful yellow footprints :) . Luke does a fantastic job as always, he is good at portraying the slightly cocky self confident characters, Grayson reminded me a lot of Daniel Fitzgerald from The Contractor book by Andrew Ball. Easily likeable and understandable. I'm looking forward to more of the Frontlines books, wish they had an omnibus package so i could get more of them with less credits, hint hint ;)
