Historia
In the late 21st century, a neurotechnology called Bridge has changed the world. Bridging allows a person to program their own body and mind to achieve untold enhancement. There was one problem: it only works in children. Within a single generation, a new world order developed. Bridged Children grew smarter, faster, and stronger than the adults, and demanded equal rights. The adults fought back.

What an incredibly well researched, well written in complete book. My only criticism would be is it felt like it was in fast forward at times and Bryan Johnson might have been better off slowing things down and delivered to the world a compelling trilogy.

Historia
If you’re in restoration, you know what I mean — hustle worked, until it didn’t. One day, you were drying carpets, and the next you were running a restoration company. Now, you’re looking around for the resources: the business acumen, the cashflow answers, or the simple organizational tools to scale a thriving company. And my guess is, you’ve looked, but those tools have been hard to find, because no one’s ever provided a resource like that, specifically for restorers. That is, until now!

Actionable Insights
Revisado: 05-23-24
In the world of restoration, the line between reactivity and proactivity is often blurred. As restorers, we frequently find ourselves in a state of professional limbo, our livelihoods hinging on the next random emergency service call. This industry is inherently reactive in nature, and as a result, it can unwittingly entrench its practitioners in a cycle of response-driven existence, reducing us to mere pawns in a game dictated by unpredictable events and more powerful game pieces. However, as my friend Alex Duta eloquently reveals in "Restoration Millionaire," this need not be our only reality.
The book you hold is more than just a guide; it's a blueprint for transformation. In its pages lies a powerful message: the reactive rollercoaster, while a common path, is neither the most fulfilling nor the only one available. The author expertly guides us off this tumultuous track, presenting a proactive approach that is foundational for those aspiring to reach the zenith of their potential in this industry.
He teaches us that our first step towards success starts with seemingly simple yet profound actions: akin to charging our devices at night, and waking up to make our bed. These acts, as mundane as they may seem, are the initial sparks in a chain reaction of positive proactive decisions. They are a testament to the book's core philosophy – one good decision leads to another, and it's our obligation as founders to break free from the reactive cycle that places most restorers on a hedonic treadmill.
In an industry often marked by uncertainty and unpredictability, this book serves as a lighthouse, guiding us toward a path of proactive business management. The text will be appreciated most by those that refuse to be held hostage by the unpredictable whims of external forces. It encourages us to chart our own course, steering towards being a "restoration millionaire" – a goal not just of financial abundance but of professional satisfaction and personal fulfillment.
The journey from reactive restorer to proactive entrepreneur is not one of ease. It requires a paradigm shift, a new mindset that champions foresight over hindsight strategy over luck. But as this book illustrates, the rewards are immense. A proactive approach not only elevates our businesses but also enriches our lives and those of our employees and families.
If you believe you deserve more than the reactive rollercoaster's jarring and unrewarding ride, then now is the time to embrace the proactive mindset foundational to success in our field. "Restoration Millionaire" is more than a book; it's a gateway to a new way of operating in our industry, a manifesto for those ready to forge their own destiny and claim their rightful place as leaders in the world of restoration.

Historia
In The Black Swan Taleb outlined a problem, and in Antifragile he offers a definitive solution: how to gain from disorder and chaos while being protected from fragilities and adverse events. For what Taleb calls the "antifragile" is actually beyond the robust, because it benefits from shocks, uncertainty, and stressors, just as human bones get stronger when subjected to stress and tension. The antifragile needs disorder in order to survive and flourish. Taleb stands uncertainty on its head, making it desirable, even necessary, and proposes that things be built in an antifragile manner.

He is systematically right.
I always maintained the suspicion that it was nonsense to ice swollen facial tissue and likely so did you...
Anyhow, we could all learn a lot from Fat Tony, but some explanation about about how he enters the scene would be welcome (just blam, Fat Tony enters the scene and actually leaves).

I traditionally have disdain for sales books. But Grant gets it. I am making my entire estimation dept read this book. This is spot of for restoration contractors.
