Compelling read
Revisado: 06-04-23
While I enjoyed it and found it extremely compelling, I felt like it suffered from the issue of needing to constantly up the stakes. And while I understand that these characters are mostly untrained, I feel like in reality they would’ve adjusted to the new reality- not going alone, always being upfront, etc. Overall it’s still worth a read!

Historia
Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

OVERALL AMAZING BOOK/NARRATION
Revisado: 10-27-17
I loved this book and Wil Wheaton's acting of it.
I would recommend Armada to anyone who likes Ready Player One, sci-fi, realistic behaving heroes, 80s culture, video games, and romance.
IF YOU LIKED READY PLAYER ONE: this book has an epilogue, which gives a m bit more about what happens after the events of Armada; if you felt like RPO had an abrupt ending, Armada follows up more.
The only thing I that could be improved was Wil Wheaton's portrayal of Zack's Mom. I felt like her emotion was a little unrealistic, as she had the same intensity of sadness when it seemed like there should've been variation. Everyone one else was fantastic though, especially Milo!
