Wonderful, engaging novel
Revisado: 07-07-22
This book had me transfixed from start to finish. The story was so original. The fact that Rosa was referring to "ma chere" throughout, kept me guessing who her dear one was. Karen Cass did a superb performance and I was impressed with her amazing language expertise and flawless pronunciation. I highly recommend this book.

Another great one!
Revisado: 11-14-21
I totally loved everything about Justice Hall. The transformation of Mahmoud and Ali into nobleman Marsh and Alistair was very clever. The mystery surrounding the death of Gabriel was essential to the plot. Its resolution was very satisfying. The character of Iris and her friendship with Mary was captivating with its Feminist overtones. The lavishness of the celebration a la Egyptienne was pretty amazing.

Disappointing
Revisado: 07-03-21
Of all the Lucinda Riley books I have read this one of the most wordy, poorly edited and at times boring of them all. Normally, Riley's formula of bouncing between present and past has worked very well. in this book I got very tired of both Noola's story and Merry's.
my favorite parts were those that included action with the other six sisters. I also enjoyed Jack and MK as characters as well as Ambrose and Father O'Brien.

An enthralling story about love, motherhood and choosing who you belong to in the world by best-selling author Kimberley Freeman. 1874: only days before she is to leave the foundling home where she grew up, Agnes Resolute discovers that, as a baby, she had been abandoned with a small token of her mother: a unicorn button. Very original story with well-rounded characters, lots of excitement and the thrill of world travel. Almost all loose ends were neatly tied except for why Julius was abandoned.
Great performance by Ms Vuleric

Fantastic read
Revisado: 02-07-21
As a lover of things Provençal and interested in the role of the French Resistance, this book was a favorite.
I love Lucinda's writing, intelligence and skill in describing works of art. She's also a wonderful poet.
Ms Raison's performance was exceptional, as is her French!
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the topic whether a fan of Lucinda Riley's or not.
PS I really loved the Seven Sisters series.

Seven Sisters is a beautifully written and performed work. For me, I couldn’t put it down until the end. Imaginative and well-researched, Lucinda Riley’s first book makes me eager to read the entire series.

Love that Maggie
Revisado: 11-01-16
I really have enjoyed the Maggie Hope mysteries. A great way to get a handle on the history of the world war era. The writing is great and the performance, other than all the shouting male voices, was quite wonderful. The cliff-hanger endings leave me wanting more.
