Disappointing ending

The story was a good one, but it seemed as if someone ran in and told Kate Atkinson she had 15 minutes to finish the story. Everything was abruptly wrapped up. Not at all satisfying.

Not the usual Stephen King

This isn’t a scary story, or one with his usual stock characters and formula (which I enjoy). This is more of an historical love story, set in the late 50s and early 60s. The detail, the dialogue, and the deeply formed characters made me care so much about what would happen next. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves great story telling and in depth characters. I was sorry when it ended.

Whispering narrator

I hope this book can be re-released with Lesley Manville narrating. I absolutely love the series, and an audio version means the pleasure lasts much longer than just reading the book. But the whispering narrator is unbearable, even for a great story. So annoying, I have to give up on the story.
