So, when journalist Finn Hardwick is assigned the story as part of a national thirtieth anniversary memorial service, he arrives at the town ready to interview its residents, thinking they’ll be ready to share and eager to make headlines. He isn’t prepared for the resistance. Or for what appears to be a collective unwillingness to answer his questions.

Enjoyable but not his best
Revisado: 07-10-18
I always enjoy Dan Brown for a good escape. I usually learn something about art or history and religion that I didn't know, and this book was no exception. This time I learned a bit of science, too, though at times the detail was a bit much. I found it a bit distracting and overwhelming at times. It was good but not one of his best.

Jojo Moyes does it again
Revisado: 06-30-17
This woman cannot write a bad book. I'm an enthralled with her writing and cannot get enough. Every story is filled with remarkably drawn characters navigating the trials and triumphs of life. The love stories are believable and heart-wrenching. The relationships are "true to life." You connect with these people and don't want their stories to end. The narrator was excellent. A touching, poignant story that will take you from the depths of the valley to the top of the mountain.

Historia
In the early 1900s, the playwright Galeazzo D’Ascanio lived for Celia Sands. She was his muse and the inspiration for his most stunning and original play. But the night before she was to take the stage, Celia disappeared. Now, decades later, Alessandro D’Ascanio is preparing to stage the first performance of his grandfather’s masterpiece. A promising young actress - who shares Celia Sands’ name, but not her blood - has agreed to star. She is instantly drawn to the mysteries surrounding the play - and to her compelling, compassionate employer. And even though she knows she should let the past go, in her dreams it comes back.

Slow getting into it, but good once you do.
Revisado: 06-24-15
It took me forever to get into this book for some reason. The audiobook helped. My only complaint about the audiobook is the volume is too low and the narrator is a little bit to subdued throughout. This is not your typical Kearsley story. It is more like A Mistry then a time slip or time travel type story. I really did enjoy the characters. I really enjoyed the mystery. It's just at the beginning took to long to get into the meat of the story.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Superb!!
Revisado: 05-09-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book is AWESOME! I highly recommend it to anyone! I am not a fan of horror, so some of King's books are not my cup of tea. One of my favorite King books to date was "Hearts in Atlantis". This book has surpassed that one as my favorite. It is everything I had hoped it would be, and more. It keeps you captivated, intrigued, on the edge of your seat, and the ending does not disappoint.
What did you like best about this story?
I love "time travel" stories. This is one with a very interesting twist.
What about Craig Wasson’s performance did you like?
He was EXCELLENT! He brought the characters to life. His pacing was excellent.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I can't tell you because it would give away too much of the story.
Any additional comments?
