One family in the middle of an apocalypse that had the tenacity to survive

This apocalyptic series was one of the best I have ever read (listened to). There were times I would arrive home from work and just sit in the car for 10-15 minutes listening to the story because it was just that well done.

Am I the only one who didn’t like this book?

This story went way overboard on references to other sci-fi. They are called Easter eggs, not let’s make up a story and plagiarize every show we can think of. No original thought and it was used to the point to being annoying.

I loved this book, it was my first by John Scalzi. My sister likes his stuff so I picked this one for my intro to his writing. I was thrown off a little by the end Coda’s, I really didn’t like the first one but the other 2 got better.
