Historia
It was never supposed to be this close. And of course she was supposed to win. How Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump is the tragic story of a sure thing gone off the rails. For every Comey revelation or hindsight acknowledgment about the electorate, no explanation of defeat can begin with anything other than the core problem of Hillary's campaign - the candidate herself.

A good listen!
Revisado: 08-01-21
The book gives both an account of events as they were experienced from inside the Clinton campaign, and also explores different theories as to why she lost. It is a compelling listen for anyone who followed this campaign closely.

Historia
Here is a gripping account of the major postwar trial of the Nazi hierarchy in World War II. The Nuremberg Trial brilliantly recreates the trial proceedings and offers a reasoned, often profound examination of the processes that created international law. From the whimpering of Kaltenbrunner and Ribbentrop on the stand to the icy coolness of Goering, each participant is vividly drawn.

Too long winded for a casual audience.

if you're looking for a deep dive into the behind the scenes story of the trial, it's probably for you. If you just want an outline and were hoping for some entertainment value in the process, not for you. The book is dense with detail, and the narrator reads at a snails pace, which can turn it into a snoozefest at times. If you do purchase, do yourself a favor and turn the speed up to 1.25x or so.

Not One of King's Better Novels.
Revisado: 03-05-21
Worth listening to, but lacks depth. Its like he outlined the story, tacked a few details on to give it some body, then called it quits. There are a few really good moments in the book, but even those are over too soon. This is a shot of cheap whiskey that you knock back hastily and move on from, not a fine scotch that you savor and revisit as often as possible.

Historia
In December 2003, after one of the largest, most aggressive manhunts in history, US military forces captured Iraqi president Saddam Hussein near his hometown of Tikrit. Beset by body-double rumors and false alarms during a nine-month search, the Bush administration needed positive identification of the prisoner before it could make the announcement that would rocket around the world. At the time John Nixon was a senior CIA leadership analyst who had spent years studying the Iraqi dictator.

Great Story
Revisado: 04-13-20
I really enjoyed the book, but I wish it hadn't been so heavily redacted by the CIA. You still follow the basics of the story, but it would be much richer with the details that have been cut out to protect secrets.

An interesting listen
Revisado: 04-03-17
The book gives copious details about many technical aspects of nuclear weapons, nuclear reactors, and the chemical processes that make them function, or fail to function. Several times I had to rewind and re-listen to sections to absorb the information. That being said, it was very interesting to listen as various nuclear mishaps were broken down to the human errors, mechanical malfunctions, engineering mistakes, and uncontrollable factors that lead to a disaster. You don't need anything more than a basic understanding of chemistry, engineering, etc to appreciate the book, but such knowledge will probably enhance your enjoyment of this book.

Historia
Half a dozen years ago, anthropologist Gabriella Coleman set out to study the rise of this global phenomenon just as some of its members were turning to political protest and dangerous disruption. She ended up becoming so closely connected to Anonymous that the tricky story of her inside-outside status as Anon confidante, interpreter, and erstwhile mouthpiece forms one of the themes of this witty and entirely engrossing book.

It is a good overview of Anonymous and hacker culture. It draws some interesting conclusions about the the topic, but at times gets bogged down in details of particular events and conversations that make the story drag.
